The Decision No. 712 / QD-TTg, signed by the Prime Minister, approving the National Program “Improving productivity and quality of products and goods of Vietnamese enterprises by 2020” (referred to as Program 712), Accordingly, the ministries and branches will formulate their own schemes, specific objectives and contents suitable to each ministry and branch.
In the morning of November 26, 2019, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Construction coordinated with the Vietnam Institute for building materials to hold a seminar on “Solutions to improve productivity, product and goods quality of construction materials manufacturing industry” to support businesses to apply modern quality management systems, improve productivity and quality at the business.
The seminar was organized to aim to introduce projects to improve productivity and quality to State management and production companies. Along with that, introduce solutions to improve productivity and quality of the construction material manufacturing industry and consult for state management units, associations, corporations, production companies about the content needed. The Ministry of Construction is supported to improve the productivity and quality of the industry. On that basis, the Ministry of Construction will develop the next programs and plans to implement the project effectively. The project includes: By 2020, focusing on improving the productivity and quality of 04 major construction material groups: cement, paving materials, sanitary porcelain and construction glass; Investing and improving the capacity of 03 material testing laboratories to meet the needs of enterprises and management agencies; Establishing and maintaining an electronic website on productivity and quality, a place to introduce and share information, knowledge and activities of a network of productivity and product quality; Training 100 productivity experts and product quality in the field of construction materials production; To build at least 04 model points (each product group has at least 1 model) as a basis for propagation, mobilization and dissemination to other production establishments for study and application.

Representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ms. Kieu Nguyen Viet Ha, Department of Science and Technology shared the results and lessons learned from the project to improve productivity and product quality of Industry and Trade sector in 2012 -2018. Ms. Kieu Nguyen Viet Ha said that during the implementation of Program 712 at the Ministry of Industry and Trade (the project to improve productivity and product quality of the Industry and Trade sector), the Ministry of Industry and Trade has chosen a suitable direction in implementation process, which identifies the business as the focus of the project implementation activities. “To help businesses have a visual view of the benefits of applying productivity and quality improvement solutions, the Ministry of Industry and Trade focuses on assisting businesses in implementing pilot models. Specifically, support businesses to apply modern quality management systems, or advanced quality improvement tools” emphasized Ms. Kieu Nguyen Viet Ha.
In addition, regarding the quality and priority content of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, it is focused on the perfecting of standards and regulations. This is not only a tool to support the management of commodity products of regulatory agencies, but more importantly, it is one of the very important directions for the operation to improve and innovate technology for enterprise.
