At the beginning of his work at the company, he realized that his colleagues had a lot of difficulties in the process of digging. Drilling vehicles and excavators are two main motorized equipment the digging of furnaces, however, when unable to put the drill truck into the construction service, the mechanic is required to use a portable pneumatic drilling hammer so the progress is very slow. Especially when drilling for half-coal seams, the halves of the rock meet many difficulties. If using a hand-held pneumatic hammer, the construction progress in the furnace mirror only reaches 2m/CA (small furnace) and 0.5 m/CA (large furnace).

CMJ14 drill trucks were put into use at the end of the year 2017, which resulted in three times more effective than before. However, the hydraulic oil drill truck, the original filter with the oil filter function is regularly residue, dust oil does not provide enough for the drilling motor that leads to the tight drilling motor, the car drills stops abruptly. Each time you stop the startup, electromechanical repair, replace some damage parts, affect the construction of furnaces. Although the equipment is advanced, there are still limitations when it comes to us with the mining terrain, the large amount of dust smoke.

From the difficulties in working practice, with the expertise and skilled experience, he has proposed the solution “the machining of the ‘ filter clusters of the CMJ-14 vehicles”. The compressed air filter on the drill truck is composed of two parts, the filter and the conduit are installed in accordance with the parts of the car drill CMJ-14 serving the construction drilling at the furnace. Since performing this initiative, the filter cluster has helped to filter out the dirt gas, bringing clean air through the lubrication oil for the drilling motor stable operation, less malfunction occurs.

His initiative has been deployed by the Board of Directors to all of the company’s drilling vehicles. This allows the company to save alternative supplies, secure the device, actively and reduce repair personnel. His initiative, Nong Van Luyen, was recognized by the No. 1 Peach School, the leader of the company highly appreciated. In response to his efforts, in 2019, he was awarded the Quang Ninh PPC as one of the 65 advanced workers in the province.
