Vinh Phuc: Meeting the needs of production modernization

Spending most of the funding for the implementation of projects on supporting the application of advanced machines and equipment in production and industrial promotion of Vinh Phuc to meet the needs and step by step help rural businesses and industrial establishments (RI) applies modern technology to production.

According to data from Vinh Phuc Department of Industry and Trade, in the period of 2014-2018, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consultant of the province has implemented 133 projects to support the application of machinery and equipment in production. The projects have been promoted effectively, helped increase production capacity, save costs, improve product quality, thereby increasing sales and profits.

Typically, the center has provided 70 million VND for Phan Van Thang production facility (Dao Tu commune, Tam Duong district) to invest in a 5-ton crane in the process of producing mixed corrugated iron. Stable operation has helped to increase labor productivity and save labor costs. According to the representative of the beneficiary unit, the establishment’s products are available in many shapes and sizes, are less affected by the environment, and the price is suitable for creating a competitive advantage. Since then, the establishment’s revenue increased significantly, reaching 4.1 billion VND in 2018.

Similarly, the center also assisted Nguyen Van Tu facility (Thanh Lang town, Binh Xuyen district) to invest in two new CNC chisels in carpentry production. This device has many outstanding advantages when processing small parts, maximizing the cutting mode and high precision; can perform multiple operations at a time, automatically adjust errors, check the size of detailed adjustment of position deviations. The investment has helped the establishment increase the output from 10 to 20 products/month, with a turnover of VND 230 million/month, creating stable jobs for 5 local workers. The facility currently also processes chisels for other facilities with a production capacity of about 1,000 parts/month.

It can be seen that the schemes supporting the application of machines and equipment in production have met the needs of RI establishments. Thereby, not only improving the production capacity of the facility but also significantly changing the face of the rural industry, creating high-value products, gradually asserting a foothold in the market.

With the above results, the modernization of rural industrial production continues to be the supportive target of Vinh Phuc’s industrial promotion in the coming years. Specifically, by 2020 industrial promotion Vinh Phuc plans to support the application of machinery and equipment, technology transfer and the construction of technical demonstration models for 195-200 RI establishments; building 10 pilot models on cleaner production application. In addition, the center will also provide advice and support for 40-45 investment and marketing establishments; support for brand registration, packaging design of 30 facilities; supporting 7-10 RI establishments to relocate into industrial clusters, etc.

Department of Industry and Trade will also support the construction of product showrooms to create a bridge between RI facilities and consumers, supporting establishments to promote product consumption.
