Vinh Phuc: Innovating technology and improving productivity and quality

Science and technology are increasingly playing an important role in socioeconomic development, especially in the process of industrialization, modernization and international integration. In the Vinh Phuc province, many businesses have actively invested in technological innovation to improve productivity; including important support for policies and programs issued by the province.

Most enterprises in Vinh Phuc province have small and medium scale, limited resources in many aspects, so they are too slow to innovate technology and meet practical requirements. The province has issued an action program and approved a project to support businesses to improve productivity and product quality, with many overall solutions for propaganda; funding support for the implementation of cooperation projects between enterprises and individuals, organizations and state agencies for technological innovation; loan interest rate support for technology transfer projects; complete results of scientific research and technological development; building and developing science and technology market, etc.

Currently, the province has approved two research and application programs of science and technology, namely: Building a pilot model of production linkage under the value chain, applying high technology for pink pepper bananas in Yen Lac district the 2017-2020 period and the model of linking production along the value chain, applying high technology to fruits and vegetables in Vinh Phuc province in the period of 2017-2020. Both programs are being implemented by localities and related units.

Currently, the province has supported businesses to apply technological advances in the production process such as Tam Dao Bee Co., Ltd. with the project of developing beekeeping and processing bee products towards commodity. chemistry; Hai Yen Investment and Sustainable Development Joint Stock Company with sturgeon farming model in the Tam Dao district; Ngoc Thach Company Ltd. with the project to improve the quality of beef cattle and to process dry food for cows in Song Lo district; Vinh Phuc Agricultural Products and Packaging Joint Stock Company with a model for breeding and producing medicinal yellow chrysanthemums, etc.

Along with that, the province also supports 30 other enterprises in technological innovation, improving product quality with a budget of billions of dong. Supporting nearly 80 businesses to apply advanced quality management systems, branding, intellectual property protection, quality management certification and productivity and product improvement tools . Deploying and applying the ISO quality management system to nearly 40 units of communes, wards and towns, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses in the process of implementing administrative procedures at all levels of government, etc.

The provincial leadership also directed the specialized agency to organize research, build and put into operation “Vinh Phuc online technology and equipment trading floor”, attracting more than 100 enterprises to participate with more than 1,000 products products posted information. This is a forum to connect the supply and demand of equipment and technology, bringing practical effects to businesses, contributing to promoting the activities of science and technology market, creating favorable conditions for businesses, organizations and individuals in finding, exchanging and selecting technologies for quick and effective production of products in line with the conditions and capabilities of each unit.

From the results achieved in the recent time, in the coming time, all levels and sectors of Vinh Phuc province will continue to propagate the role of science and technology with production; mobilize and encourage participation in technological research and inventions in service of production and business; supporting enterprises with funds for deploying scientific projects and technology transfer cooperation projects; create favorable environment to develop science and technology market, create favorable conditions for businesses to find and apply to improve productivity, product quality, and contribute positively to overall growth in the province.
