Vinh Long: Promote the application of management systems and productivity improvement tools for businesses

On March 7, at the conference to evaluate the results of implementation of the” Productivity and product quality project for the period 2016-2020″, Project management board presented 135 enterprises in Vinh Long applying management system and productivity improvement tool.

In 2 years (2016-2018), the Project Management Board surveyed and assessed the status of production, business and service activities, disseminating the benefits of participating and implementing projects in 135/130 enterprises, training and guiding the application of management systems, improvement tools for improving productivity and quality, evaluating and certifying management system, product quality certification of standards and technical regulations, etc at 57 businesses.

In addition, some businesses are well aware of the application of improved tool management systems to improve productivity and quality, certify the quality of goods and products conforming to technical standards. This is a solution to help businesses create products of high quality and reasonable prices.

However, the project did not meet the set target: only 36.92% of businesses were supported, the majority of businesses in the province were small businesses, financial management activities were still heavy with family traditions, payment of product prices has not been specific, detailed, etc.

The conference aimed at discussing and sharing experiences of enterprises in building technical demonstration models and application of advanced equipment to support businesses in the province to improve productivity and quality.

On this occasion, 15 enterprises received a certificate of quality management system.

The project “Productivity and product quality project for the period of 2016-2020” approved by Chairman of Vinh Long People’s Committee in Decision No. 1655 / QD-UBND dated August 3, 2016, is a project under Chapter National Program “Improving productivity and quality of products and goods of Vietnamese enterprises by 2020”. In the 2016-2020 period, the total approved budget is over VND 36 billion (of which: the state budget is over VND 20 billion and the remaining 16 billion are reciprocal capital of the enterprise).

Develop and apply a system of standards, technical regulations, quality management systems, models, productivity and quality improvement tools; develop necessary human resources to improve the productivity and quality of products and goods of the province; creating a change in productivity and quality, improving the competitiveness of enterprises; speeding up technological innovation in key branches and fields of the province; selectively develop high-tech and environmentally friendly industries and services; contributing to the province’s average gross domestic product (GRDP) of over 7.5%, increase the proportion of total factor productivity (TFP) in GRDP growth rate from 35% or more by 2020.
