Vietstar Technology Joint Stock Company started as a small electrical cabinet assembly workshop established in 2002. After 10 years of growth and development, the company has reached 60,000 m2, more than 120 employees, 03 offices in major cities of Vietnam. The factory is invested with modern machinery, good service for customers in Vietnam and the surrounding area.
Vietstar Technology Joint Stock Company has 2 officers participating in TPM course supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City on 10-11 May 2018. After the course, the Deputy Director of the Mechanical Plant of the company has determined the current status of the company on the potential to implement TPM, thereby determining the device cluster that will be piloted TPM with the current OEE data below 70. %. During this period, the company also confirmed 4 types of losses at the cluster that is expected to deploy TPM. Initially, the company analyzed the causes of these 4 types of losses, and proposed solutions.
With the effectiveness of TPM has been summarized, introduced as: No downtime, no defective products, minimize waste, improve ownership, ensure safety and health for people. laogg, in July 2019, the company registered to participate in the Consultative Support Program from the TPM Application Support Program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Department of Science and Technology).
With the expected time of joining the TPM Application Support Program from July to December 2019, the consultant and the company set goals:
o Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in the pilot area increased compared to the present. OEE calculation method and data collection method are guided in the consultation process.
o Deploying at least 2 pillars of Self-Maintenance (AM) and Environmental Health Safety (HSE) in 8 pillars of TPM.
o Develop and maintain processes for managing, maintaining equipment, internal training towards long-term goals of no defective products, no downtime, no loss and no accidents in the development area. pilot (goal oriented process, not required to achieve during implementation).
To achieve this goal, TPM activities are expected to be implemented at the company including: Guidance on maintaining 5S good practices for the company; train and guide the implementation of the AM Self-maintenance pillar, the planned Maintenance pillar (PM), and the HSE pillar (Safety, Health and Environment).
In July, Phuong Linh, Vietstar, My Phat and Seikico companies also sent registration forms to participate in the program “Training, supporting the pilot application of overall equipment performance maintenance tool (TPM) for industrial enterprises” supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
