Viet Duc welding electrode: Optimize quality control process by applying ISO 9001: 2015

Thanks to the successful application of ISO 9001: 2015 quality management system, Viet Duc Welding Electrode Joint Stock Company has good quality control for 100% of output products, while improving the effectiveness of risk management at the factory.

As one of 36 enterprises selected to participate in the program “Supporting the conversion of quality management system according to ISO 9001: 2008 to the new version of ISO 9001: 2015 for industrial enterprises” – one of the project of improving productivity and quality of industrial products and goods of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and assigning the Vietnam Productivity Institute (VNPI) to implement under Program 712, Viet Duc Welding Electrode Joint Stock Company is determined to deploy and apply the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System synchronously and effectively.

Recognizing the importance of technological innovation as well as constantly seeking quality improvement solutions, the company’s leadership has actively implemented the application of productivity improvement tools under 5S, simultaneously improve the quality management system according to ISO 9001: 2015 to bring the best products to users.

Within 3 months of implementing the program, with the support from consultants, Viet Duc Welding Electrode Company has built an effective management process step by step: Assessing the situation at the enterprise; Disseminate new regulation under ISO 9001: 2015 to achieve common awareness; Building and updating the quality management system; Implementing in practice and conducting internal assessment.

During the implementation process, the ISO 9001: 2015 system highlighted issues affecting management in some departments , such as: Information on the details that need to be changed, repaired has not been fully updated in the device resume; Lacking of documents and records related to the management process… Through these findings, the Company has implemented a series of measures to overcome shortcomings, namely: Completing the system of documents and management regulations; Develop sequences and management methods; Guide and perform inspection and control from input materials; Rearrange the system of documents and records so that they are easy to find and retrieve, while ensuring the storage and security.

After the deployment process, the result that Viet Duc Welding Electrode Company received is a streamlined administrative apparatus and an efficient production process. This is a good foundation for the company to constantly grow and achieve more significant achievements in the future.
