The rough rolling mill has many disadvantages that cannot be overcome through periodic repair and maintenance. The largest capacity recorded at a rolling mill is only 140,000 – 150,000 tons / year, while the steel mill capacity reaches nearly 200,000 tons / year. This shows an imbalance between workshops in the production process, directly affecting the quality of output products.
In this regard, the Board of Directors and the specialized departments have agreed that it is necessary to improve the system of vertical rolling mills. With the goal of improving, upgrading and replacing the equipment of the existing cluster of rolling mills to a cluster of 6 vertical rolling mills; The company wishes to diversify its sources of embryos; at the same time reduce the cost of input materials, reduce economic and technical indicators; improve production capacity; Stabilizing product quality, increasing competitiveness in the market.
Investing in a vertical rolling mill to replace the existing one with a cost of VND 40 billion, increasing the capacity of the rolling mill line to 160,000 tons / year. At the same time, the Company has also invested in replacing a rough rolling cluster from a 3-axis-7-rolling-type rolling price to a 6-axis vertically-rolling type, 2-axis-6-rolling-rolling type and a post-cutting machine. Take advantage of auxiliary equipment such as hot induction induction furnaces, the ingot roller system simultaneously renovates and relocate the ancillary equipment in accordance with the new 6 vertical rolling mill unit. fitting. Officials and employees in the workshops closely coordinate so that the installation of new equipment and machinery goes into operation in sync with the current equipment, without affecting the stages in the production workshop.
