Uong Bi Coal applied science and technology to increase 200% of productivity

The Uong Bi Coal Company was established on April 19, 1979 in Uong Bi City – Quang Ninh Province. Typically, the work of renovating stone excavator XD-0.32 (XD32-HUB) won the consolation prize of Vietnam Technical Innovation Contest 2019 organized by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations; Combai AM-45-EX excavator’s rehabilitation and restoration project won the second prize in the 6th Quang Ninh Technical Innovation Contest. This project, after being put into use in production activities, has brought great efficiency, helping to increase the productivity of digging by 200%.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong, one of the engineers involved in the project’s research, said: This machine has many advanced features such as: easy to operate, compact in the furnace, small cross-section, flexible movement with complex terrain, the XD32-HUB type excavator has increased the excavation progress from 0.7m / shift to 1.4m / shift, doubling the previous time, suitable for small road sections from 9.5 square meters or more.

In particular, about manpower mined also reduced by nearly 50%. Previously, 1 excavator mirror needed 9 workers / mirror / shift when operating this excavator only 5 workers / mirror / shift.

The machine is operated moving, lifting in the whole system mainly hydraulic combined with some electric parts. The rock is shoveled backwards continuously with the type of rakes, conveyors transport or pour into the trailer to pull out.
