Tranquil PC: A transformation through investment in a modern processing line (Part 2)

Support from XYZ Machine Tools is indispensable in the next investment phase of Tranquil PC, as the company is looking to complete its second mass production line.

In order to meet the stringent specifications of a fanless computer, machining tolerances must be kept to a minimum. Accordingly, Tranquil PC company added an XYZ 710 VMC and a MiniMill 560 provided by XYZ Machine Tools to solve this problem.

Mr. Phillip Thompson, director of Tranquil PC said: “The new machines allow us to process directly to reduce raw material waste as well as reduce error rate. An aluminum billet can be utilized up to 60-70% before becoming a product.”

With the support of state-of-the-art machining lines, PC Tranquil’s new product models always meet the company’s criteria: No noise, No waste of electricity and long service life.

PC cases designed by Tranquil PC have an outstanding advantage in protecting components from a variety of environmental factors such as humidity, temperature, dust and foreign objects. The company’s chassis currently meets IEC 60529 for water resistance and achieves level 6 (top level) in the dustproof IP panel classified by the International Electrical Engineering Commission (IEC).

Tranquil PC products solve noise problems from multiple computers in the office space as well as provide solutions to help PCs operate in harsh environments due to a lack of fans, making them operate quietly and steady; minimizes dust intrusion and saves energy for the whole system.

Another advantage of Tranquil PC products is that it reduces maintenance time and costs and improves PC lifespan. The company’s customers are mostly B2B businesses from different industries.

Tranquil PC has recently released the ABEL ‘H’ line of compact PCs based on Intel’s Next Unit Computing (NUC) concept. Users can choose between configuration CPU Core i3 or i5 Haswell depending on needs. The company also sells separate cases for users to build the remaining hardware components themselves. Thanks to the Haswell chip with low power consumption and heat generation, plus a passive thermal design, users do not need to install cooling fans for ABELs. With dimensions of only 110 (length) x 164 (width) x 47 (height) mm, the NUC ABEL is suitable for use as a computer for entertainment systems, movies or at the point of sale.
