Tranquil PC: A transformation through investment in a modern processing line (Part 1)

“The first step was to buy the XYZ Minimill 560”, said Mr. Phillip Thompson, “Initially, the machine was only for research and development. However, soon after, the XYZ Minimill 560 quickly operated at a capacity of seven days a week because of the advantages that it brought back to the company. That is why we purchased two additional XYZ 710 vertical machining centers to form our first machining area”.

Mr. Thompson admitted that at the time, neither he nor the machine operators were any mechanics or programmers, but the XYZ machines worked ideally thanks to their easy use. Siemens control system and a high level of supplier support. These machines are now available five days a week, eight hours a day.

XYZ’s three vertical machining units are making a significant contribution to the overall growth of the business. From the beginning of use, the lead time of the whole line is shortened, the logistics processing (such as storage, transportation) is also eliminated, volumes can be managed more efficiently and a high degree of flexibility is greatly improved, and the ability to quickly adapt suitable designs helps the company to respond to a wide range of customer requirements.

It is expected that Tranquil PC will further expand its second machining area, but changes will be made to the XYZ series. XYZ 710 VMC will be replaced by XYZ 750 LR or XYZ 800 HD.
