Present at a supply-demand connection program by TP. Ho Chi Minh recently organized, Ms. Lam Mong Thuy – owner of clean coconut oil production facility Phuong Huynh – shared with us about the process of bringing coconut oil to Japan.
She said that in the past, in Tra Vinh, production facilities like her often made coconut oil in the traditional and retail method in the domestic market, if left for long the product was easily prone to sedimentation, changed to yellow. However, since she learned of cold pressing method with enzyme technology, she invested in producing products with more stable quality, uniform color, preservation time up to 24 months. Her products have conquered Japanese importers.
In 2018, her facility benefited from the project “Supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment in the production of coconut oil by biotechnology” by the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion (C&C). Tra Vinh with the total cost of implementing the project is more than 251 million VND, of which local industrial promotion capital is 97 million VND.
This is just one example of the effectiveness of industrial promotion capital implemented in recent years in Tra Vinh. Talking to reporter of Cong Thuong newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Sang – Director of CECC and MIC – said that the rural enterprises in Tra Vinh are mostly small and medium scale, so they face many difficulties in technology innovation. product development. Therefore, in the past year, from the national and local industrial promotion capital, the province has implemented many projects to support the application of machinery and equipment to establishments and enterprises. Typically, “Supporting the application of machinery and equipment in producing recycled plastic”; “Supporting the application of machinery and equipment in the production of rice paper”; “Supporting the application of machinery and equipment in puff pastry production”, etc. Thereby, contributing to improving the capacity of enterprises, improving the quality of rural industrial products. Thanks to that, Tra Vinh has voted 57 typical rural industry products at the provincial level, and 5 products of 3 establishments achieving typical rural industry products in the South in 2018.
Not only supporting capital for machinery application, Tra Vinh also promotes vocational training activities to solve the shortage of local labor resources. In 2018, the province organized 6 vocational training classes for 170 students. Vocational training has attracted many technical workers from businesses, artisans, skilled employee, etc. to teach in craft villages. Results, 100% of skilled workers and beneficiaries enterprises receive raw materials for processing products, estimated that the average income of each laborer is VND 1.5 – 1.8 million/month, contributing to increasing income and improve living standards in rural areas.
Mr. Nguyen Van Sang said that in 2019, the center will promote vocational training and vocational training to limit the migration to find jobs outside the province. Thereby, creating jobs on the spot and creating stable income for rural workers, etc. Specifically, the center will organize 4 vocational training classes for 120 students, focusing on supporting workers at the institutions production facilities, handicraft products for souvenirs and gifts.
C&C will implement 7 projects to support the application of machinery and equipment in preliminary processing and processing agricultural products for 7 rural industrial establishments with a total cost of VND 862 million.
