TKV Machinery Manufacturing Joint Stock Company: Proactive source of equipment and supplies

Thanks to proactive provision of equipment, essential spare parts, increased research and manufacture localization of mechanical products, helped TKV Machinery Manufacturing Joint Stock Company to maintain stable production, meet enough material, supplies for units in the Group.

TKV Machine manufacturing JSC specializes in repairing motorbike equipment, manufacturing equipment, restoring special manufactured parts, rolling steel against furnaces, “vi lo” serves coal production.

In the context of the Covid-19 epidemic, coal units were still determined to meet the production targets according to the original plan. TKV strives to produce 40.5 million tons of raw coal (an increase of 0.5 million tons compared to 2019); consumption of 49 million tons of clean coal (an increase of 7 million tons compared to 2019).

The targets of coal mining quantity and consumption all increased, requiring a number of mechanical equipment to serve the coal industry. Facing that situation, in 2020, TKV Machinery Manufacturing Joint Stock Company has focused on building plans to reserve materials, increase the production of mechanical products and research and manufacture more imported replacement products to meet the demand of Coal industrial units.

Accordingly, the Company strives to achieve 3,100 tons of in-kind equipment manufacturing and spare parts manufacturing; rolling steel for furnaces and rolling steel for anti-furnace more than 101,000 tons; turnover of more than VND 1,500 billion, of which profit of nearly 500 billion dong.

To complete the production and business plan in 2020, the Company has issued a decision on solutions to direct and manage the implementation of business and production plans; in which, rolling steel production is determined to be a key task. At the same time, prepare the plan to increase production to meet production needs for the units when needed.

According to the evaluation of TKV Machinery Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, from early 2020 until now, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the progress of importing equipment and materials has been affected (because some border gates temporarily stopped operation and were granted customs clearance again). Meanwhile, the source of mechanical materials, especially steel, is mainly from China. From the end of 2019, the Company has signed contracts with Chinese enterprises to prepare reserves of supplies and equipment to maintain production serving to the second quarter of 2020. Currently, the unit is promoting and speeding up the contract progress with suppliers of Chinese materials and seeking markets of some other countries to promptly supplement essential supplies for production for the third quarter and the fourth quarter of 2020.

Thanks to proactive preparation of plans, from the beginning of 2020 to now, the production situation of the unit is ensured according to the plan. In the first 2 months of 2020, the Company has manufactured coal equipment estimated at 600 tons, equal to 17% of the year plan. Expected in the first quarter of 2020, reaching more than VND 320 billion, reaching 23% of the year plan. The company is deploying the manufacture of more than 600 tons of steel structure equipment and spare parts for Khe Cham II-IV Project.

Mr. Bui Xuan Hanh, Deputy Director of TKV Company, said: In addition to providing materials and products to meet production needs for the units from the end of February to the beginning of March 2020, the Company takes the initiative sending officials and technical workers come to coal production units to review and share information on expected difficulties affecting production and business when the Covid-19 epidemic lasted. On that basis, the unit captures the need to use special mechanical products for spare parts currently imported from China.

The Company will evaluate and list the materials that are expected to be ordered with the Company or mechanical units providing replacement of imported equipment and supplies. For example, with mechanical products being imported from China, the unit continues to coordinate with mechanical enterprises throughout the country to sample, draw drawings and formulate plans for manufacturing mechanical products, such as: Various types of jacks, trusses, mirror frames, spare parts, accessories for various kinds of rigs and supports.
