From 2013 to present, Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Company has continuously maintained quality productivity improvement tools such as 5S and TPM and brought significant effects.

 Apply good 5S practice tools

Since April 2013, the General Director of the company has been in charge of the 5S Steering Committee of the Company. The 5S movement is applied throughout the Company with the slogan “Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Company commits to implement 5S to create a safe, clean, scientific and effective working environment”. Throughout the implementation process, Offices and Production Workshops have continuously maintained of 5S to improve labor efficiency, improve working conditions, environment and quality at work. At the company, 5S has been maintained continuously from 2013 to the present (September 2019).

 Apply TPM

In early 2017, Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Company implemented a Lean-TPM improvement program for the sample factory at Lot C2, Dong An 2 Industrial Park – Hoa Phu Ward, TP. Thu Dau Mot – Binh Duong

Based on the existing 5S platform, the company has built and implemented a Lean-TPM model focusing on: 6S, Autonomous maintenance (AM), Planed maintenance (PM), Kanban Traction System, Fast Conversion (Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED)), Teamwork focus on improvement, Human resource capacity development through multi-skill training and job rotation, setting KPI effectiveness indicators according to Balanced Scorecard. The overall plan includes 13 months of implementation.

The company also applies TPM to manufacturing plants. In the first stage, the company piloted KMD114 extruder and J3 injection molding machine. Through basic steps such as: Identifying dirty sources, difficult to clean points; set up standards of equipment hygiene and Autonomous maintenance (AM); perform sanitation according to standards, statistics and analyze the cause of stopping machine; TPM operation table and OEE calculation … As a result, the details, machine parts of the 2 devices were cleaned, the OEE index of the devices reached over 50%.

5S tools and TPM tools have contributed to the success of the company’s production and business activities. In 2018, Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Company (Code: NTP) set a target of VND 4,800 billion in revenue, actually reaching VND 4,529 billion, fulfilling 94% of the target. Profit before tax and sales volume were VND 360.5 billion and 90,466 tons, respectively, fulfilling 75% and 96% of the plan. In 2019, Tien Phong Plastic sets a target of 5,000 billion dong of revenue, an increase of 10% compared to that in 2018, a target sales volume of 99,200 tons, a growth of 10%, and an after-tax profit of 425 billion dong. copper, up 18%.
