That is the improvement to change the hand washing faucet, which saves about 100 million VND / month / factory of Mr. Nguyen Gia Thai, an employee of Taekwang Vina Industrial JSC (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park). This innovation is being applied in more than 10 factories at home and abroad.

Mr. Thai shared that in the past, the company used Rumine copper screw valves. It takes a long time to close and open the water valve, so many workers do not lock it all. Furthermore, every time you screw up, a lot of water flows out, causing waste. As the man in charge of the environment, he came up with a way to use small lotus-shaped water jets to save water. He went online to search and order a business in Taiwan. From the original 3 test taps, more than 1 thousand shower faucets were replaced at the factory in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park. Seeing that it was effective, the company proposed and it was Mr. Thai who went to more than 10 factories of the whole country.

Not only strong in expertise, but also has many useful improvements in his work, Mr.Thai, from “obscure” English, now confidently exchanges work with foreign countries in all 3 languages: English, Korean, and Vietnamese. “Working in a 100% foreign-invested enterprise, I determined to make a lot of effort. All free company courses and programs I take part in. I arrange a time to study foreign languages at night. I think contributing to the development of the company is also accumulating experience, knowledge and improving income for myself” – Mr. Thai shared.

Get “license” at the company

For many years now, every 2 years, Vietnam Industrial Manufacturing and Processing Exports Limited Company (VMEP-H. Nhon Trach) organizes the skills test for all people. labor. Passing the exam, if ranked A, the employee will be added 500 thousand VND to his salary each month, and attaining grade B will be added 300,000 VND; In case the exam does not pass, the salary will remain the same. This rating is maintained for 2 years, expires, the employee registers for the test. The workers registered for the certification will be the source of planning for the position of leader, manager, technical officer. Up to now, nearly 1 thousand people have passed skill competitions and are receiving allowances from the company.

Mr. Mai Van Hai, an adult worker from a skill contest more than 10 years ago, shared that passing the exam for a unskilled worker is not easy. To prepare for the exam, at the end of the workshop, when everyone left, Mr. Hai stayed to handle difficult errors. What do not know, he asked the craftsmen to guide. As for theory, he taught himself from many sources, mainly the internet. Passed 3 times of the skills test, he was certified with a skill equivalent to level 3/7, and was promoted to be the Project Development Team Leader.

In this position, he and his colleagues have researched, proposed and developed many motorbikes to create a brand for the business, including Sirius digital cars. Mr. Hai said that in order to have a good job position, each worker must constantly strive. Learn from colleagues, from books, from useful information channels. When skilled, workers do not worry about losing their jobs, and also have the opportunity to work abroad with high wages.

Excitement for efficiency improvement projects

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Nga, a former environmental student, started her work as an employee at Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company (Sovi – Bien Hoa Industrial Park 1). Seeing that every year, the company has to spend a large amount of money on waste treatment, she proposed an improvement project to help minimize generated waste and reduce environmental pollution.

Ms. Nga shared that, from 2015 onwards, at the carton workshop, to treat the waste, the company had to use two types of acids that are quite toxic, both costly to the business and toxic to workers. As an environmental worker, she has set up a project to replace hazardous chemicals to safe chemicals and save water in waste treatment.

Through the process of testing, the project brings positive results. In the first year of implementation, the project saved more than 300 million dong in water and 90 million dong in chemicals. Along with the chemical change project, Ms. Nga built and successfully implemented a project to reduce hazardous waste generated from the production process. As a result, each year, the company has reduced nearly 150 tons of hazardous waste (down 30% compared to before implementing the project), thereby helping the company save nearly 1 billion VND / year. Currently, these 2 projects are being maintained at all 3 factories of the company in Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces.

Try to become a good craftsman

From his goal of becoming a good mechanic, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trung, Head of Production Shift, LG Vina Chemical Co., Ltd. (H.Long Thanh) was determined to get 2 university degrees in mechanical engineering and operating machines of the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. During the working process, he constantly strives to explore, learn, improve knowledge and skills to confirm the skill of a good craftsman.

In 2000, Mr. Trung started working at LG Vina Chemical Co., Ltd. with expertise as a machine operator, who specializes in “catching and treating” industrial machines. With the knowledge he learned, he repeatedly participated in proposing ideas, technical innovations to improve machine performance, and contributed ideas related to production management, personnel management and organization of activities in a scientific and effective way.

Many technical solutions developed by him bring good results. Among them are improvements in frequency from 46Hz to 41Hz for cooling system; improvements reduce reaction times, increase machine performance; propose solutions to improve working environment for workers directly in production. Thanks to his positive contributions, Mr. Trung was promoted to be the Head of production shift at DOP factory. He has been sent many times to his parent company in Korea to attend the machine operation course and then teach his colleagues.
