The engineer who is passionate about initiatives at Tico JSC

TICO JSC is a unit with extensive experience in the field of producing detergents such as detergents, washing creams, aromatic soaps, dishwashing liquids. During more than 40 years of operation, Tico is honored to be a strategic partner of major multinational corporations such as Unilever, P&G, Johnson, etc., together with major domestic detergent manufacturers such as Lix, Net, Dai Viet Huong, Can Tho Chemical, etc., and has also participated in asean markets such as Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Myanmar, etc.

With the spirit of constantly exploring and creating, Mr. Ha Bass Huy is one of the role models for the innovation movement at Tico Company. In 2012, Huy was promoted to deputy producer. At the same time, he has also completed a master’s degree in equipment process. One of Huy’s outstanding initiatives is “Reducing hazardous waste emissions in production by improving the process of completely recycling THF waste”.

The production of emissions treatment has produced an average of more than 120 tons of  THF waste per year. Previously, the company often transferred this amount of waste to a processing unit but the cost was quite high. The company has repeatedly carried out research and improvements, but the effect is not as expected.

As a person directly standing, Mr. Huy always tries to find a solution to be able to recover all the waste that arises, but the hardest thing is to find a way to reduce solid residue as well as solve the color requirement before mixing into the finished product. After a period of research, Huy has launched a method of treating waste with sulfuric acid and water. This initiative of Mr. Huy has brought profits of more than VND 3.2 billion per year to the company, handling almost completely the amount of waste arising in the production process. In addition, Mr.Huy also added to his collection 10 other initiatives, bringing many benefits to the company.

Sharing his passion for creativity, Mr.Huy always wants to contribute to building a safe, effective and worker-friendly working environment. In particular, towards the green environment, limiting adverse impacts on the environment.

With his contributions, in 2019, Mr.Huy was pleasured to be honored by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City awarded the certificate of merit and awarded the 19th Ton Duc Thang Award.
