Thanh Hoa applied science and technology in the production of building materials

Recently, enterprises in Thanh Hoa province have focused on technological innovation, while encouraging workers to improve techniques to apply efficiency in production, increase competitiveness.

To develop the construction materials industry, many businesses in the area have pioneered the application of modern production technologies to improve productivity and product quality.  Previously, Bim Son Construction Materials JSC used old technology in production, so the loading and unloading of bricks into the furnace was undertaken by people with a working price of VND 300,000 per person per day. Low productivity that the loading process sometimes causes bricks to be skewed, broken at the same time the cost is high. To solve this problem, the enterprise has invested in installing 4 robots to replace workers working on stacking and unloading bricks. A robot is tasked with transferring bricks from the extrusion mold, shaped; The other three robots are on a mission to take the bricks down to the furnace. Thanks to robots, the work becomes faster, easier and saves a lot more human resources. If the manual manpower is still used as before, workers have to pull the car to dry and then load it into the combustion furnace. This stage is very time-consuming and laborious.

At the same time, enterprises also implemented the application of drying furnace technology with the latest improvements, helping products have many advantages in production, such as: minimizing dust, smoke due to heat emissions used for dry products, fuel economy about 30% compared to the old technology. Products of this new technology ensure strict technical standards, good stability and have been highly appreciated by customers.

Also in the province, Xuan Truong Co., Ltd., Yen Lam commune (Yen Dinh) specializes in mining and producing exported stone. Previously, stone mining enterprises in the form of crafts, polluting the environment and not ensuring the conditions of labor safety. To overcome this situation, from 2018 until now, enterprises have invested in using stone mining technology with diamond cutting wire to improve product quality. Diamond wire sawing is the only technology today that does not destroy the original stone, protecting natural resources, allowing the dissection of stone blocks with standard rules, sizes and seamless to meet the needs of consumers.

Currently, the value of construction materials produced in the province reaches more than 22 trillion VND per year. The units also focused on investing in technological innovation to launch new products such as sand crushed from rocks to replace the natural sand; unbound tiles (environmentally friendly products); salty sand is washed and processed to replace freshwater sand in construction works. According to the Decision of the Provincial People’s Committee on the construction material development plan of Thanh Hoa province in 2025, the orientation to 2035 has planned the development orientation of 7 groups of construction materials in the province. At the same time, setting goals, the construction materials manufacturing industry must gradually integrate science and technology to produce international construction materials, improve the level of domestic research, shorten the gap in technology compared to the world. Therefore, technological innovation is not only the key to promoting the sustainable development of production enterprises but also ensuring the proper implementation of the construction material development plan of the province.
