In recent years, along with the process of urbanization, the demand for construction and use of construction materials in our province has developed quite strongly. Therefore, the number of enterprises participating in the production of construction materials is increasing. However, most of them are these enterprises are still using old production technologies, leading to high production costs and cost of bricks, and limited product quality. At Ha Bac Brick and Trading Joint Stock Company – Ha Trung branch, the market has about 25 million bricks per year. Although production is guaranteed and exceeds the planned targets, the economic efficiency is not high. Mr. Dinh Van Duong, director of the company said: “Because enterprises have not used the automated production system, it requires a large number of workers to participate in production, leading to high production costs. This is the reason why the company’s products are difficult to consume, the production and business are not economically efficient. Therefore, the need to innovate and apply modern technology to produce has become an urgent issue for businesses to develop sustainable in the market of construction materials production”.

In fact, in order to sustainably develop the construction materials industry many enterprises in the province have pioneered the application of modern production technologies to improve productivity and product quality meeting increasingly demand high consumer. Typically, in the group of unburnt bricks, many production units have applied advanced technology, machinery and equipment are imported synchronously etc. Since then, to improve productivity, product quality and meet demand increasing market. All stages, such as preliminary processing of clay materials, crushing, kneading, drying, molding of bricks, placing the embryos into products in kilns etc are automatically carried out according to the parameter presets. Therefore, the factory’s products, from design to quality, are synchronized according to a strict technical standard.

Representatives of the company said: “All machines and equipment of this line are imported by reputable firms, with a total investment of over VND 45 billion. Compared with the old production technology, flat ceiling kiln drying technology has many outstanding advantages in production, such as: Minimize dust, smoke due to waste heat is used to heat and dry products, save fuel is about 30% compared to old technology. The product ensures strict technical standards, good salt tolerance and has been welcomed by consumers right after entering the market”.

In Decision No.2423/QD-UBND dated July 3, 2017, of the Provincial People’s Committee on the planning of construction materials development in Thanh Hoa province until 2025, the orientation towards 2035 has planned the development orientation of 7 groups of construction materials in the area provinces, are: Building materials (fired bricks, unburnt bricks), roofing materials (baked and unbound), construction stones, construction sand (natural sand, crushed sand), concrete (components and trade items), industrial lime, gypsum board. At the same time, aiming at the construction material manufacturing industry, step by step integrate science and technology of international construction materials production, improve the level of domestic research, shorten the technology gap compared to the world. Therefore, innovating production technology is not only the key to promoting the sustainable development of manufacturing enterprises, but also ensuring the proper implementation of the construction materials development planning of the province.
