Successfully applied the quality management system, improving the reputation of Vietnamese businesses

The establishment and successful application of Integrated Management System ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 14001: 2004 help Vaude Vietnam Co., Ltd. to improve its reputation and brand development to become one of the leading enterprises in Vietnam. Vaude Vietnam Co., Ltd. was established in late 2008, on the basis of Vaude Company, Federal Republic of Germany, acquired from Dong Hai Garment Company.

Overcoming initial difficulties, up to now, the Company has expanded its factory scale, invested in modern machinery and equipment, attracted more than 1000 skilled workers.

During the development process, the Company has always been interested in researching, implementing and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, PPE, Bluesign and Faiwear systems. In May 2011, the Company was honored to receive the certificate of “Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001: 2004” issued by SGS Certification Organization.

After only 3 years of official operation, Vaude Vietnam has built and successfully applied the Integrated Management System ISO 9001: 2008 & ISO 14001: 2004, contributing to enhancing the position and image of the Company in Globalized integration business environment today. To achieve that result is the continuous efforts of all employees in the Company with the goal of building a sustainable development company on the principle of “Productivity – Quality – Efficiency”.

When building the ISO 9001: 2008 System, the ISO Committee together with the departments in the Company set up and reviewed the operating procedures of the departments, standardizing and documenting the operating procedures. This brings great efficiency. Clearly defining the tasks and implementation process will help employees perform the job as required because there are specific instructions for each step of the work. Officers and employees have formed a working routine with clear responsibilities for each job. The cooperation between employees, all levels and departments has been strengthened and improved towards a common goal.

Applying ISO 9001: 2008 also helps the company to systematically manage the quality of its production and business activities, minimize and eliminate costs after inspection, warranty and rework. As a result, the Company’s products ensure quality, meeting the increasing and diverse requirements of customers.

In the process of global integration, ISO 14001: 2004 is essential, it is like a “Green Passport” paper for businesses to access the world market. The environmental management system demonstrates the Company’s responsibility to the community and society. The company conducted a review of activities to reduce waste; using materials, equipment and technologies to minimize pollution and harmful impacts on the environment. The Company maximizes recycling and reuse of waste in the Company’s departments as well as of customers and suppliers; rational and efficient use of water and energy sources.

Over 10 years of development, from producing only simple products that do not require high technology; Vaude is able to produce sophisticated products at the moment, meeting the stringent requirements of his partners. The establishment and successful application of the Integrated Management System ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 14001: 2004 help the Company improve its reputation and develop its brand to become one of the leading enterprises in Vietnam in terms of manufacturing, processing and trading of equipment, tools, sports accessories and garments for export to the European market.
