Started activities within the framework of TPM program at the Export Mechanical Tools JSC

The first working session within the framework of the TPM program supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the Export Mechanical Tool Joint Stock Company took place on June 25, 2020 with the main objective of starting and training knowledge. general about TPM.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the company’s leadership, the production department of mechanical workshop 1, the production leaders and the technical maintenance department of the company. At the meeting, the company’s staff were trained with general knowledge about TPM, OEE index and major losses in machinery and equipment.

In parallel with the theoretical training, the group members also participated in the practice of calculating OEE by many different methods and playing games directly related to the previously learned knowledge.

The company’s leaders said that the company’s desire to participate in this program is to improve the knowledge and spirit of the operator in 5S implementation, self-managed maintenance and improved methods through step-by-step training and practice guidance. Improvement activities are not spread, but rather focus on the highest losses related to equipment performance, in particular at the E206 specialized machining machine, then expand to other machines in the same category of processing line.

To meet the expectations of the company’s leaders and actual production, the consultant conducted detailed step-by-step instructions for the company’s employees. Purpose after the project, staff are the ones who understand the method of implementing each content, continue to maintain and expand the scope of the pillars that are being implemented, and continue to implement other pillars of TPM. In addition, the staff members participating in the pilot project will be the key staff to support the training of personnel at their own factories and other workshops to make TPM a movement and emulation and reward annually.

It is expected that in the next working sessions, the Consultant will continue to guide workers activities in the self-managed maintenance pillar, including: cleaning equipment, detecting abnormal equipment, detecting sources of contamination, the point where it is difficult to clean the equipment, make improvements. The OEE index obtained initially will also be used for analysis.
