In order for the country to grow quickly and sustainably in 4.0 period, it is necessary to strengthen scientific research, technology development, improve innovation capacity in all fields.
Dr. Dang Vu Canh Linh, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, said that by 2025 up to 90% of the population could store unlimited and free data; First robot pharmacist in America; 80% of people are present on the Internet, cars are produced entirely by 3D printing technology, replacing the census with big data sources. In particular, up to 90% of the population use smartphones and regularly access the Internet; 10% of vehicles on the road in the US are unmanned vehicles, etc, Mr. Linh said, Industry 4.0 revolution creates advantages for technology pre-emptive, creating mechanisms and favorable legal corridors; build the infrastructure; intellectual exploitation and community creation; connecting talents and national startups.
However, according to Mr. Linh’s analysis, 4.0 revolution also has risks and challenges such as lagging behind technology, labor surplus, social inequality. In particular, this revolution also entails failure in competition as well as cultural, social and environmental issues.
Master Nguyen Huu Gioi – Chairman of the Vietnam Library Association said that no nation and country can develop sustainably without paying attention to science and technology; do not promote creative capacity based on solid knowledge foundation for people.
“In order for the country to develop more quickly and sustainably in the context of the world is entering the industrial revolution 4.0, it is necessary to strengthen scientific research, technology development, improve the innovation capacity of each People and organizations in all sectors and fields”, Mr. Nguyen Huu Gioi emphasized.
He added that to bring our country into an industrial country in the direction of modernization, it is necessary to select a shortened path; promote the highest level of all resources, intellectual potential of the nation, especially creative capacity based on the solid knowledge foundation of each people.
Currently, Vietnam has implemented the project “Development of the digitalized knowledge system” in order to quickly promote propaganda and dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge to people in a convenient and effective manner. The current requirement is to disseminate scientific and technological knowledge to all people through the application of modern information technology integration, in accordance with the needs and specific conditions of our country today. The construction and implementation of the scheme of Vietnamese digital knowledge system will fully meet the requirements, contributing to raising the knowledge of Vietnam.
