“Soldier” at the factory with shining initiatives

During 40 years of working at Thong Nhat Electrical and Mechanical Company, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong – a devoted worker, always diligently searching for innovations and technical improvements to improve productivity product quality, while reducing production costs and lead time.

During his working time, he realized that machines with many signs of damage were difficult to have replacement or maintenance equipment, Mr. Cuong tinkered and improved his knowledge through books and documents. Thanks to his hard work and diligence, he has launched many innovative initiatives that benefit billions of dong for businesses. Typically, the initiative to renovate the hydraulic system of the 135T press has shortened the idling time and increased the pressure, with no defective products in accordance with the company’s stroke technology for processing pots industrial fan.

Not stopping there, only with cheap and readily available materials in the market, Mr. Cuong continued to self-produce 20-ton automatic hydraulic to save costs for his business when he no longer had to import foreign presses. When self-production, the cost for 1 hydraulic press, the enterprise only costs VND 25 million, while the price for importing the machine from abroad to the enterprise has to spend VND 200 million for 1 machine.

With a high sense of responsibility and his own efforts and efforts, Mr. Cuong has made innovative initiatives with very high application value, contributing to stabilizing the production process, reducing replacement costs, machinery maintenance as well as helping workers proactively contact with new technology and prevent machine malfunctions and failures in the working process.

With a long working history of the factory and excellent contributions to the business, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong has won the title of “Grassroots Emulation Soldier” for many consecutive years, recognized by Hanoi City. By initiative and creativity in 2010, 2012, 2016, the title of Excellent Worker in the Capital 2011, 2012, 2014, 2017. It is known that in 2015, he was honored to be awarded the Labor Medal by the State President three. In particular, most recently, in 2018, he was awarded the title of Excellent Citizen by the Hanoi People’s Committee in 2018.
