The designers have woven a fabric out of optical fibers that allows it to control and brighten clothing. OLED technology can be as thin as a normal fabric. They can be interwoven into fabrics so that it is difficult for users to detect differences from ordinary fabrics.

Can your clothes charge the phone?

We exercise a lot in a day, can create a small amount of static electricity through friction with clothes. If we have clothes containing electrode cells on the fabric, we can convert those small electrostatic charges into energy and charge the phone.

Researchers are investing in small ceramic generators mounted on clothing and one close-up face and human skin to extract body heat from the wearer. The difference in temperature between inside and outside stimulates semiconductor components in the generator and generates current.

While such garments are only limited to research and testing, in the near future they will lead the trend in the modern apparel industry.

Your clothes can replace the smart screen

Kolon Glotech Korean and a team of scientists from KAIST University participated in the study of embedded cloth in a direct control screen. To do this, the team must first produce a fabric that is not rough and does not expand too much when exposed to heat.

They create special textile materials that look like a slide but have the flexibility of fabric. OLED displays are formed on this material through a process of heat deposition. This technology could be the beginning of smart armbands, smart wires, smart sleeves, etc.

It can be seen that, along with the development of science and technology and human imagination, the improvement of quality for garment products is now no longer limited to models, designs, etc. It is also expanded for technology applications, versatility and user experience.
