Small initiative, great effect when applying 5S at Pacific Plastic Joint Stock Company

Within the framework of the mission “Training, guiding the implementation of 5S good practices for manufacturing enterprises of Industry and Trade” organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and EPRO Consulting Joint Stock Company, Plastic Joint Stock Company Pacific (An Thi district – Hung Yen province) participated in the 5S direct consultancy and guidance program at the enterprise. After 6 months of implementing and applying 5S, the company has recorded positive results, there are many innovative and effective activities that bring efficiency to the company.

In particular, must be mentioned as:

  • The company organized a contest to create 5S slogan during the launching day: Each team composed a 5S slogan. On the launching day, Company Director Mr. Nguyen Manh Duc participated, spoke and awarded to the winning team. The organization of the 5S slogan creation contest has helped improve the morale of workers and support 5S propaganda.
  • The company has arranged for 100% of the leaders, 5S boards, officials and employees of the company to participate in 5S training. Since then, 5S knowledge has been replicated to create the premise for later internal 5S training activities.
  • Minor improvements are encouraged to implement such as:

+ Renovating areas for solvents.

+ Renovation of shelves in the area of ​​mechanical – electrical workshops.

+ Giving periodic hygiene regulations to clean machinery.

+ In addition, the company staff also made improvements to the blade racks, to avoid overlapping the knife quality, damaging the knife; stick safety warnings, signs to identify fire extinguishers in the workshop to help easily find when needed; guys draw paths in the factory to avoid affecting production activities.

The results of 5S implementation have brought businesses a safe, clean, tidy and more open working environment; The company’s image is enhanced when welcoming customers and friends to visit. The company is determined to maintain the effectiveness of 5S by operating: evaluating 5S daily; conduct weekly 5S meetings to discuss inappropriate areas for timely adjustment by departments; Summarizing commendation and commendation monthly. The company provides 5S training regulations for new workers according to each recruitment and re-training 5S for old workers once a year.
