Samsung continues to cooperate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to train industry experts

On the morning of May 25, Samsung Vietnam cooperated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to hold the Opening Ceremony of Course 10 (IC10), the program of cooperation to train improvement consultants in the supporting industries and processing and manufacturing industries at Ho Chi Minh City.

The success of 8 training courses in 2018 and 2019 under the framework of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Samsung Group has helped 207 trained Vietnamese consultants and 40 enterprises (DN) consulting to improve productivity and quality. In 2020, the Center for Industrial Development Support – Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade) will continue to implement 2 Master courses in Korea for 32 excellent students of 2019; 4 domestic training courses for 120 consultants and improvement support for 20 businesses.

According to Mr. Do Nam Binh – Director of the Center for Industrial Development Assistance – Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the training program in 2020 aims to build a strong force of Vietnamese consultants, quality to meet the needs of supporting industry enterprises in particular and manufacturing enterprises in general.

Through this training program, trainees will be equipped with knowledge of production management such as principles of field management, waste improvement, industrial engineering, productivity enhancement, productivity enhancement activities, production flow improvement activities; knowledge of quality management such as: Quality Management – principles of quality management, change in quality management, the importance of quality management, the key elements of quality management, characteristic of standards in the management system, creating quality, etc.

In particular, these training courses are based on a consulting process that has been successfully applied by Samsung, including: Assessing the performance and business of Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises; Consulting on improving, innovating production, managing quality and circulation of goods, improving and maintaining working environment (5S3D), increasing labor productivity in order to increase the competitiveness of enterprises, participate in and deeply participate in global supply chains.

According to the evaluation of trained trainees who are experts from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the local Department of Industry and Trade, lecturers of universities and specialized staff of manufacturing enterprises, the training course is built. methodical knowledge at the same time associated with the reality and status of supporting enterprises in Vietnam. In particular, 9 weeks of practice during the training period help trainees have more opportunities to practice and build more innovative measures for enterprises, helping enterprises improve production efficiency and enhance quality.
