In recent years, the Saigon Tobacco Company has always been at the forefront of the tobacco industry in terms of technological innovation and application of scientific and technical advances to production.
The process of renewing production technology is carried out in the direction of modernization, environmentally friendly, selective, key and effective, which is a solid basis and helps the Company firmly enter into implementation industrial revolution 4.0.
In-depth investment and technological innovation
Implementing the policy of the City People’s Committee Ho Chi Minh City relocated its production facilities which are likely to cause environmental pollution into industrial parks, in late 2012, the Saigon Tobacco Company relocated to a new location in Vinh Loc Industrial Park, Binh Chanh district, City Ho Chi Minh. The company has renovated the whole modern technological process of fiber processing, using flavors and accessories to minimize the level of toxic effects on the environment.
In particular, important projects are: Investing in cigarette rolling lines and packing lines, high speed continuous screwing and automation in checking the quality with Protos cigarette rolling machines with capacity 7,000-10,000 cigarettes / minute and Focke bagging line with a capacity of 350-400 bags / minute; 6 tons / hour fiber processing line; Project of investing complete equipment for Raw Material Warehouse and Finished Product Warehouse.
In particular, the project invested in an odor treatment system for 6 tons / h fiber processing line, this is an advanced technology and increasingly used in the world with advantages: Saving raw materials, with the exhaust gas flow only half the rotary drum drying equipment should create conditions to minimize environmental pollution.
It is noteworthy that under the high temperature tower drying technology makes finished yarns with lower tar, nicotine content in cigarette smoke, reducing toxic to users. Or to enhance control and ensure product quality, the Company invests 1 BORGWALDT A20 meter to measure the ventilation of the wedge and wax paper and a Densimeter DD61A meter to measure fiber filling – filter plant stiffness, serving for checking the quality of raw materials and materials, and a Densimeter DD61A meter to measure drug filling to serve the quality control of products.
In 2018, the Company invested in the me-loop online cigarette shredder to recover the yarn from the fault connecting directly to the machine, blending directly into the fiber supply cluster, contributing to saving raw materials and improving product quality products, reducing labor labor. Invest in a refrigerator to insure raw materials before analyzing on the CFA continuous flow analyzer, a system of 2 channels CFA continuous flow analyzer, sodium quick humidity meter and MK5 oven to achieve correct in input testing analysis.
Attach production with environmental protection
With the goal of production associated with environmental protection, improving the working conditions of workers. The company invests dust filtration systems that come with the new generation of yarn and problem processing lines such as: dust collection system – central fiber supply for the draw frame at Workshop 2 and 3; Biological odor treatment system for 6T / h fiber processing line, biological filtration capacity of 40,000 m3 / h.
Equipment and technology provided by Tholander Company – Germany, the system of applying the principle of deodorizing according to biotechnology is a modern, advanced technology and first used in the tobacco processing industry in Vietnam.
The results of monitoring the exhaust fumes after the treatment system are within the permissible limits according to QCVN 19: 2009 / BTNMT column B and QCVN 20: 2009 / BTNMT column B. The results are achieved through the most thorough monitoring positive when emissions indicators such as nicotine, NH3, H2S, xylene, styrene all meet the Ministry of Health’s Decision No. 3733/2002 / QD-BYT on occupational hygiene standards and national technical regulations. QCVN 19: 2009 / BTNMT QCVN 20: 2009 / BTNMT on industrial emissions.
For wastewater treatment, the Company invests in a wastewater treatment project of 670 m3 / day. After putting into use, it is estimated that the amount of recycled water is 50m3 / day and night, reducing the cost of daily-life water and waste water treatment and ensuring safety of wastewater sources according to environmental standards.
In the current integration stage, assessing enterprises’ ability to approach to industrial revolution 4.0 is usually based on key factors such as quality, human resources, technology absorption capacity; flexible and appropriate production processes and methods. The achievements that Saigon Tobacco Company has achieved in investing in technological innovation, equipment and improving the quality of human resources will create a basis firmly for the Company to successfully implement the industrial revolution 4.0 and global integration.
