In 2020, Quang Quan will start implementing TPM (Maintaining overall equipment performance) under the support program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. With pillar AM: The company hangs up TPM card to detect abnormalities of machinery and equipment, identify difficult-to-clean spots, sources of contamination to take appropriate corrective actions; Develop and apply standards of hygiene, check and tighten lubrication to help operators better care for the equipment.
With the QM pillar: Focusing on collecting data on product quality, analyzing and identifying the root causes of common defects such as product drop, thick bottom error and glass perforation. After finding the root cause, innovative solutions have been applied to reduce the failure rate of products in the workshop.
With the FI pillar: Data collection and determination of OEE (overall equipment performance) of the devices. From this data, the improvement team focused on analyzing the cause and finding solutions to improve OEE through reducing unplanned downtime.
With E&T pillar: All glass factory workers are assessed their capacity. On that basis, the Company has developed plans and conducted training to improve the capacity of employees in a specific way. Through training, the workshop staff can be more confident and proactive in their work, helping the production of the workshop be carried out more efficiently.
After 5 months of implementing TPM, from May to October 2020, TPM activities at Quang Quan’s glass factory have obtained the following results:
