Quang Minh Mechanical Joint Stock Company is an enterprise specializing in designing, manufacturing, supplying, installing and transferring technology in beverage, food, chemical and cosmetic industries, etc.

Participating in the national program “Improving productivity and quality of products and goods of Vietnamese enterprises until 2020”, the company received the support of consultants from the Center for Standards and Measurement Quality Measurement 3.

After conducting a survey to analyze the current state of production, the consultants pointed out to the Board of Directors the problems that waste time, productivity and quality of products: Waste from sports. mission, spend a lot of time searching for materials and tools for production; Time to create value for products is not high, while time for activities does not create much value; Cosmetic error of welding lines, etc.

To solve the above problems, the consultants have proposed businesses to apply 5S and Kaizen, the basic tools of Lean (lean production method). Accordingly, all officers and employees of the Company have been trained on 5S; Perform Screening, removing unnecessary objects; Made Sort, Easy to see criteria – Easy to get – Easy to check out – Easy to return; Implement Cleanliness, assigning detailed cleaning responsibilities in each team, area; Implementation of Care: Establishing a 5S committee to organize monthly 5S reviews to detect problems and continually improve; Promulgating regulations on 5S implementation.

In addition, the Company has also implemented some Kaizen such as: Improving the method of tole making, switching from manual tole to tole by equipment (estimated cost savings of 6 million VND / month); Improving the method of cranes to lower the tole body, keeping the edge of the sheet without defects when lowering the tole body (estimated cost savings of 3,484,000 million dong / month); Improving the method of withdrawing holes on the tank body, so that the quality of the hole is even (estimated saving is 774,000 VND / month); Improving the method of polishing the bottom of the cone, switching from manual polishing to mechanical polishing, the surface gloss is more even (estimated saving is 11,400,000 VND / month), etc.

From the practical effects that 5S and Kaizen tools bring, the Board of Directors of Quang Minh Mechanical Joint Stock Company will continue to apply these tools in the coming time to eliminate waste and improve efficiency. production and business results of the Company.
