Thanks to the application of new technology, the lampposts of Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) are scheduled for lighting according to the time frame, by region and with incident warning function. In particular, where many people circulate, the lighting capacity is high, where there are few people circulating, the lighting capacity is lower, helping to save power (at least 35% of power consumption compared to before), reduce time and labor of the technical team.
On site, there are 157 lighting poles. Previously, all lights would be manipulated simultaneously at night and turned off during the day. Technical department regularly checks 3 hours/day to ensure safety, or when there is a problem, it is necessary to check each lamp post. Now, thanks to the management monitoring system of Quang Trung Software City (IOC – Integrated Operation Center), everything has changed.
Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long, Director of QTSC, said that Quang Trung Software Park is a technology park, a place where many businesses operating in the field of technology should be led, so QTSC must take the lead and apply the parts. Modern software on the most basic operations. QTSC also wants to improve the efficiency of management, management, how to minimize costs, optimize and improve labor productivity. QTSC sets the goal of a modern software center managed, monitored and operated by a modern system.
With the existing technology background, on-site personnel and the support of the technology community at Quang Trung Software Park, in 2016, QTSC researched and developed the IOC. This is both a tool to help specialized departments operate in the whole area, and helps QTSC to manage, monitor and supervise those activities.
After more than 1 year of implementation, the first phase was put into operation, the system has integrated 4 modules: wastewater management subsystem, helping to control the status of waste water from QTSC discharged into the environment, warning wastewater index exceeds threshold; lighting management module, which helps to supervise the lights, set the lighting schedule in accordance with the actual needs, calculate the power consumption and error alerts for employees to overcome (saving labor and electricity. power); BMS monitoring module, which helps monitor the parameters of the power measurement system, fan system, lighting system, pump system, elevator, generator, refrigeration system of the building in real time, historical statistics through tables, charts, showing warnings when the system has a problem; traffic monitoring module, which helps to display the traffic flow in real time, by area and violations by time points.
After the effectiveness of the first phase, in mid-2018, QTSC continued to integrate more into the IOC 8 system, information technology applications, including: QTSC SMS system (messaging); QTSC Free Wifi system (free Internet); smart meter system, which helps to calculate monthly, quarterly electricity consumption, and remotely search power consumption; intelligent parking system, helping statistics of the number of vacancies in each parking lot, thereby regulating and centralizing the management of vehicles in QTSC; automatic irrigation system; smart water meter system; integrated document management and sharing system for copiers; Mobile application for IOC.
These applications and solutions are integrated in a system, facilitating management. Mr. Long said that in the past, with separate and discrete investment systems, QTSC had no uniform tools and processes for centralized management, monitoring and immediate warning when an incident occurred. In addition, the scattered data makes it difficult to exchange information and data between parts.
Currently, with IOC, QTSC has gradually standardized the management, supervision and operation; standardize automatic warning functions to support personnel in operating the system and providing services; easy sharing of data and information; gradually improve the process of handling emergencies; support the training of quick response to specialized departments; support statistical work and reports for forecasting.
