POSTEF: Cooperation to improve product quality

Experts visited, worked and evaluated the results of technical and product improvement consultancy at Post and Telecommunication Equipment Joint Stock Company (POSTEF).

Within the framework of the Training Cooperation Program between Samsung and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Samsung Vietnam leaders and representatives of the Vietnamese Government agencies have paid a working visit and assessed the results of technical improvement and product quality consultancy at Post and Telecommunication Equipment Joint Stock Company (POSTEF).

Accordingly, Korean experts surveyed and evaluated at POSTEF industrial complex and directly consulted, in order to improve the production process and improve the standards in the supply of products and components for electricity. and telecommunications in Vietnam. After 3 months, the results of the business improvement consultancy program were very positive, helping POSTEF to achieve good results in improving product quality production and improving competitiveness.

POSTEF is one of the six companies surveyed this time, all of which are businesses operating in the field of technology, manufacturing mechanical products, electronic equipment, telecommunications, etc registered to participate in the enterprise improvement consultancy program was conducted by Samsung experts from Korea, including: 4P Company Limited (Hung Yen), Postef Post and Telecommunication Equipment Joint Stock Company (Bac Ninh) and Electric – Electronic Co., Ltd Me Tran (Vinh Phuc), Y Chi Viet Co., Ltd. (Dong Nai), TBM-Minh Phat Manufacturing and Trading Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City) and Phu Tho Hoa Electronic and Mechanical Joint Stock Company – VIEMCO (HCMC).

After the improved consultancy program for Vietnamese enterprises in the first time of 2018, POSTEF also made significant changes. The production items have a 40% improvement in output, and the quality management category has a 33% improvement. Thanks to the cooperation and assistance of Samsung, the quality management was further emphasized through the establishment of a quality room: the structure of a quality department, KPI establishment, task assignment and KPI establishment. In the area of ​​capacity building, training managers and staff about 5S3R and QC theory training are all in the process of implementation.
