POMINA – “industry leading bird” in steel production technology in Vietnam

Established in 1999, POMINA is a chain of three steel billet and rolling steel factories with a total annual capacity of 1.1 million tons of construction steel and 1.5 million tons of billet. Currently, POMINA is one of the largest and most modern construction steel producers in Vietnam and is the market leader in construction steel market share in the South.

With the goal of bringing products that are “the core of life”, POMINA is a pioneer in investing in the world’s most modern production lines and technologies from leading equipment suppliers like Techint, Tenova, SMS Concast, Siemens – VAI etc.

POMINA is the first steel factory in Vietnam to operate Consteel technology in the production process with a fully invested production line using modern equipment from G7 countries around the world. The world’s most advanced Consteel (German) embryo production technology now allows continuous production, as this technology applies the horizontal feeding method to the body of the furnace, maximizing process power and ability, high automation. Consteel technology has outstanding advantages such as: completely removing slag and impurities, focusing on recycling of raw materials with the waste water treatment system meeting the double circulation standard, not discharging into the environment. As a result, the cost of post-production treatment is significantly reduced. This is considered a new technology trend of countries with advanced industries in the world. Along with that, POMINA also applies the production of steel products according to the hot rolling technology process, made at temperatures from 900 – 1,200ᵒC, on the leading technology lines and with Level 2 automation such as VAI-POMINI, SIEMENS-VAI (Italy, Germany) etc. With the right and synchronized investment, POMINA is proud to bring steel products of stable quality, and meet diverse technical standards of Vietnam and International.

Over the years, POMINA has always gained customers’ trust, high product quality, and competitive prices. According to the Vietnam Steel Association, accumulated in the first 5 months of 2019, POMINA construction steel for domestic consumption reached approximately 400,000 thousand tons, exported to fastidious markets of Canada, ASEAN etc reached nearly 100,000 thousand tons, up 13% over the same period and POMINA is leading the export market of construction steel from 2018 to the present.
