PC Quang Ninh: Maintain 5S application

Along with many synchronized solutions, maintaining the application of quality management system according to 5S standards has helped Quang Ninh Power Company (PC) improve the efficiency of operating the grid, creating ventilation for the workplace; avoid confusion, take time for finding utensils, records, etc.

Ensure safe and continuous power supply

As one of the leading enterprises applying good 5S practice of the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC), in 2019, the grid managed, operated and operated by PC Quang Ninh always ensures safe, continuous and stable electricity supply not to occur prolonged overload during the peak heat waves as well as the rainy season.

Accordingly, PC Quang Ninh has enhanced the quality of inspection period, unexpectedly, detected the existence on the grid to have timely repair solutions through image inspection and updates on the software. The company used a 420-turn thermal camera, a local electrolymity measuring device 1.755 turns, detecting many unusual heat points, timely signing, preventing incidents.

In order to improve the reliability of power supply, reduce power grid incidents, in 2019, PC Quang Ninh has installed many devices: Recloser cutters, incident alarms, lightning protection lines, isolation knives, additional addresses, etc; 86/86 substations (TBA) against overload, raising capacity to 28 TBA. The electricity also actively proceeded to swap 152 subsets (MBA), phase scales 501 low voltage highway, load 108 TBA …

Along with that, the company has implemented many technical management solutions such as phase scales, loading, MBA island swap … and renovating the on-duty TBA, installing additional remote controls for the Recloser cutter. In December 2019, the company officially established a remote control center

Promoting the effectiveness of 5S

Implementing the directions of EVNNPC on the deployment of 5S from the office to the grid, in 2019, PC Quang Ninh coordinated with local authorities, telecommunications units to implement the contents of 5S grid such as: Tight the wire out – into the meter, hang the line receiving card, clean the root column, stations, discharge and contribution of telecommunications cable bundles as prescribed. In particular, all investment and overhaul works before being put into operation are guaranteed according to 5S criteria as prescribed.

The company has implemented 5S lines and TBA models at Dong Trieu town’s electricity (TBA The Khe 9 and 1076m lines); TBA 110kV Trang Bach was completed in January 2020. From October 2019, the electricity and high-voltage operation management team registered to implement 5S by week, reporting the progress of implementation of the company. With the slogan “One hand at a time, 5S” and “Maintaining 5S is a regular job”, all officers and employees of Quang Ninh PC together carry out the work of maintaining 5S, ensuring the TBA operates safely – Green – Clean – Beautiful.

In 2020, along with other synchronized solutions, 5S is implemented by PC Quang Ninh to complete technical management targets, reduce losses, ensure the reliability of electricity supply to meet the target set by EVNNPC plan. The ultimate goal that PC Quang Ninh and the power company in the northern provinces when implementing 5S is to form a professional working style, enhance the brand image of EVNNPC – For your trust.

Up to now, Pc Quang Ninh has implemented 5S with 65km of 110kV lines, 1 TBA 110kV Dong Mai, 1139.33km of mediums median lines, 2197.67km of downstream lines and 1354 TBA and 216.75km of telecommunications cables.
