OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 support program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for industrial production enterprises

In 2019-2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to promulgate a program to support key industrial enterprises under Decision 604/QD-TTg to implement and apply the Occupational Health and Safety Management System. In accordance with OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001.

Occupational health and safety management system according to OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 is one of the prerequisites for key industrial enterprises in our country. This is a system that aims to establish a safe, healthy working environment, continually improving the health and safety of workers. In addition, the OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 certificate is a passport for businesses to enter the market with high requirements, especially foreign markets.

Implementation of the project “Improving productivity and quality of industrial products and goods” under the National Program “Improving productivity and product quality of Vietnamese enterprises by 2020”, during the year In 2019-2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to promulgate a program to support enterprises in implementing and applying the Occupational Health and Safety Management System according to OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001.

Content to support businesses:

1. Assess the situation, consult, guide and train enterprises to apply the occupational safety and health management system according to OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards for 15 enterprises.

2. Evaluating and certifying for 15 enterprises to apply the occupational safety and health management system according to OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001

Requirements for businesses participating in the program:

1. Enterprises of key industries under Decision 604/QD-TTg (Textile, Footwear, Plastics, Steel, Chemicals, Manufacturing Mechanics, Energy Industry, Electronic Equipment, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Software Industry, Digital Content)

2. Enterprise size: medium and small;

3. Having the need to apply and commit to reciprocate at least 30% of consultancy and certification costs.

Accordingly, Asia Business Management and Development Consulting Co., Ltd. will be the implementing unit to support businesses to apply occupational health and safety management systems according to OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 through consulting activities, training, application support and assistance in the certification audit process.
