Ninh Thuan: Towards supporting businesses to develop in both quality and quantity

Ninh Thuan province has been implementing many policies to promote startups and business development in both quality and quantity, aiming to have about 4,000 enterprises operating in 2020.

Thoroughly grasping the motto “The government accompanies enterprises”, Ninh Thuan province focuses on directing the synchronous implementation of many practical solutions, seriously and drastically supporting the business development and support, creating all the most favorable conditions for businesses to invest, do business or start up in the spirit of Resolution 19, Resolution 35 of the Government and Directive 26, Directive 07 of the Prime Minister.

Ninh Thuan province has carried out many activities to enhance interaction with businesses through organizing meetings, business dialogues on monthly basis and online question and answer section, in order to promptly solve difficulties, obstacles and recommendations of enterprises, as well as to listen to the constitutions in attracting investment in socio-economic development from enterprises and investors to the province.

Particularly in 2018, Ninh Thuan province has issued 4 framework plans on start-up support: The plan to support the province’s innovative start-up ecosystem in 2018-2020, with an orientation toward 2025; plan on supporting women in starting their businesses in the period of 2018-2025; plan on supporting students to start a business until 2025; plans to support the training and retraining of human resources for small and medium-sized businesses, creating a spreading of initial entrepreneurial spirit in the province.

It is known that in 2019, the province has assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to advise the timely and effective implementation of policies to support enterprise development under the Law on Small and Medium Enterprises Support and the Digital Directive 15/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, creating a breakthrough in encouraging the conversion of business households to business models, promoting start-up, innovation in enterprises, strong development of private sector enterprises In terms of both quality and quantity, aiming to achieve the target of 4,000 enterprises in 2020.

Currently, Ninh Thuan is promoting the application of information technology in providing online public services, especially procedures related to enterprises. Accordingly, in 2019 the province strives to provide at least 30% of online public services under its jurisdiction at level 4 under the Government’s Resolution No.02/NQ-CP of January 1, 2019; effectively receiving, processing and responding to petitions of businesses via Online Question and Answer Category; strengthen coordination to solve difficulties for businesses; improve the quality of business and investor dialogue meetings, create more dramatic changes in improving the business investment environment in the spirit of Government Resolution 02 and 35. Creating favorable conditions for businesses in accessing land and mechanisms and policies on investment incentives, supporting the application of science and technology, branding, trade promotion, human resource training, etc.
