NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto tablet production line uses raw materials entirely from high quality Vietnamese coffee beans, providing premium coffee products for domestic and export needs. The production of NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto tablets from Vietnamese coffee beans once again confirms Nestlé’s relentless efforts in activities to enhance the value of Vietnamese coffee beans in particular and Vietnamese agricultural products in general through production, processing and export activities.
Introduced for the first time in Vietnam in October 2015, the premium line of coffee capsules using the NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto coffee maker has been chosen by a large number of Vietnamese consumers. The fact that NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto Tablets is manufactured in Vietnam will contribute to further meeting domestic demand, helping Vietnamese consumers enjoy high-end coffee at reasonable prices. Besides, about 90% of products manufactured on the NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto line will be exported to markets such as Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia and other markets.
So far, Nestlé has maintained its position as the leading coffee collector in Vietnam with the annual purchasing volume of 20-25% of total coffee output in Vietnam. In order to enhance the value of Vietnamese coffee beans, Nestlé Vietnam has been implementing the NESCAFÉ Plan project since 2011 in order to improve the output and quality of coffee beans for export, and the company is also constantly promoting the processing and production of finished coffee.
The newly installed NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto production line is expected to produce coffee tablets with a capacity of about 2,500 tons of coffee/year (equivalent to 130 million tablets) and is expected to expand in the coming years. The production of NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto at the Nestlé Tri An factory from Vietnamese coffee beans contributes to increasing the volume of Vietnamese coffee processed at Nestlé’s factory including NESCAFÉ instant coffee and decaffeinated coffee.
Mr. Ganesan Ampalavanar, General Director of Nestlé Vietnam, said: “The new NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto production line will create conditions for bringing high-class coffee products to more Vietnamese consumers and reach 13 export market in the world. In addition, the opening of the production line today once again confirms Nestlé’s commitment to bringing value and contributing to the development of Vietnam’s coffee industry.”
