In 2019, the engineer group of Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline Company (NCSP) had a solution Upgrading existing control systems to bring the project of gas delivery point No. 2 into operation, bringing high economic efficiency to the business.
Gas delivery point 2 project is a project to extract wet gas from Slug Catcher – input of Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant (NCS Plant) to Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant (Dinh Co GPP managed by NCPS. management, exploitation and operation). Facing the decline of Bach Ho gas source after many years of exploitation, the group of authors are electrical – automation officers and engineers (NSCP Technical Maintenance Department) including: Tran Quang Vu, Pham Nghiem Viet, Dinh Tien Dinh has researched and submitted to the leadership the solution of Upgrading the existing control system to put the Gas Delivery Point 2 Project into operation.
Thanks to many years working experience with systems and specialized knowledge, confidence, bravery, solid workmanship, the authors have made great efforts to research and advise on design, control, and operation. on the wet air supply chain. At the same time, manually program the control logic; monitoring and emergency stop protection (ESD); fire alarm system (fire & gas); signal connections in the control cabinet; make a connection (Ties-in); commissioning and putting the wet air compensation line into safe and optimal operation before progress. It is especially important to ensure that NCSP Factory operates 24/7.
With the trust and encouragement of the Board of Directors of NCSP and the support of the unions, the authors successfully completed the solution. Successful conversion solution, meeting well the requirements of the project; helping to ensure that the automated equipment and systems are highly stable, contributing greatly to the improvement of stability and reliability (over 99.9%) of the whole plant. Thereby, the NCSP has contributed to stabilizing the power supply for the whole South, ensuring national energy security. This solution not only brings high economic efficiency such as cost reduction for Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) tens of billion VND from cost cutting when hiring foreign experts, but also helps proactively progress, put the project into operation earlier than expected, increase revenue and economic benefits of millions of dollars for the company and partners. The solution is also widely applicable to affiliates of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and in oil and gas projects.

The solution was recognized as a level 1 initiative of PV GAS, a category A initiative at PVN level and awarded the Youth Project of the Central Business Union level.
