In many fields such as mining, chemical technology, food technology, the application of a screen to classify particle sizes has been applied hundreds of years ago to many types of machines such as vibrating screens, shaking screen, rotary drum screen.
Nowadays, with the development of production technology and the requirement to increase productivity, the screening system has also been improved to meet these requirements. This article would like to introduce a multi-slope screen, a modified vibrator from a classic vibrator.
The similarity of technology of multi-slope screen and vibration screen
The multi-slope screen is an improved type of vibrating screen, so it still has many details similar to traditional vibrating screens such as:
Improvement of multi-slope sieve
The task of the screen is to remove up to 98% of the material particles that are smaller than the required size, so during the design of the vibrating screen there is an important issue in choosing the screen mesh length. This requirement is guaranteed. Considering the length of the sieve throughout from the feeder to the discharging head, it is easy to see that at the first stage, most of the easily ready particles have passed through the sieve. As the end goes, the yield of sieves decreases and the surface of the sieve net becomes more and more empty.
To solve the above problem, experts have arranged a mesh screen with gradual decrease slope. Thus, towards the end of the sieve, the movement speed of the particles decreases as it takes advantage of the empty screen surface to reduce the length of the sieve. According to actual measurement values, with two vibrating and multi-slope screens with the same length and width of the screen, the multi-slope screen will be 2 to 3 times higher.
With the above-mentioned advantages, multi-slope screens are being used in many industries around the world while in Vietnam, multi-slope screens are also used in some coal screening plants.
