In the period before 2012, Saigon Tobacco Company had many equipment, machines and spare parts that had been put into use for a long time, don’t meet production demand as well as product quality assurance. For example, a 6 ton / h fiber processing line, a high-speed cigarette and bagging line, 10,000 cigarettes / minute, etc. can meet the growing demand for domestic and export tobacco consumption. ; bidding for dust collection system – central fiber supply for rolling – joining machines and many bidding projects for investment in procurement of other machines and equipment for better production.

Since 2014, the company has cooperated with MobiFone to implement the mSales Sales Management Program to manage the distribution channel system as well as supervise the sales staff. The application of informatics technology to market development has helped company manage its supervisory and sales staff more accurately and effectively.

Company also implements the Histaff project – a solution for managing human resources, time attendance by magnetic stripe cards, salary calculation by computer software. This application has brought high efficiency, help timekeeping quickly and accurately; managing labor more scientifically, reducing personnel involved in this work, benefiting hundreds of millions of dong.

At the same time, Company put informatics solutions into archives and emulation management. Thanks to the use of management software, these tasks have been increasingly improved, synchronized and systematic, greatly reducing the time for searching information, statistics and collating data.

At the same time, to increase the use of materials of domestic suppliers of equal or better quality at competitive prices, cheaper than previously imported materials, etc.

Thanks to those efforts, the company’s production and business results in the period of 2014 – 2018 have grown significantly; highlights such as: Total consumption in 2018 was estimated at 1,446.68 million bags, up 15.2% compared to 2014.
