Investment in applying modern technology

Since 2015, Masan Resources have established a Research and Development Center for high-tech products. With the goal of improving product quality to maximize resources, the Company has focused on investing in modern technology lines, training human resources capable of deploying production lines of products. added value, bring high export value. In 2017, the Company has invested in two more high-tech lines with a capital of over 9 million USD, including: Fluorite refining line and tungsten recovery line by gravity grading. These are the two most modern lines in the world at this time.

After acquiring from HCStarck Company other tungsten / mineral processing technology, Masan Resources have mastered the deep processing technology from the HCStarck partner such as caustic soda extraction technology with the reuse rate high quality; Ultra-clean purification technology uses chemicals to precipitate impurities and solvent extraction technology to minimize waste water discharged into the environment. Up to now, the Company has been continuously improving technology and reducing input costs to further perfect production technologies.

Step by step mastering modern technology

In 2018, the Company focused on internal training to close the capacity gap of employees. Up to now, in some production and administration departments of the Company, Vietnamese workers have completely mastered modern technology without the assistance of foreign experts.

The technology applied here is considered to be one of the best tungsten processing lines in the world. Initially, after acquiring technology from H.C.Starck, the proportion of foreign workers at the Company accounted for 15%, so far down to 2 people. The qualification of engineers in the country is increasing. They not only have the ability to operate the factory competently, but also create products of uniform quality, stability with the required volume. As a Production Supervisor at the Company, Mr. Doan Xuan Truong shared: “I have made great efforts to explore new technology, new management processes and strive to work to get updates. update your knowledge and practice your skills. Now, I can control the entire tungsten gravity field independently, almost without the supervision of foreign experts. I can also apply leadership skills to supervise employees at various stages in the factory, and report directly to the Overseas Senior Production Supervisor. ”

In parallel with the creation of professional training opportunities for employees, the Company always focuses on implementing training courses to help employees improve their approach to difficult situations by adapting to with new behavioral models, to increase labor productivity. The typical course of this method is Kaizen-5S (a tool to eliminate waste and optimize labor productivity). The Human Resources Department coordinated with the Hanoi National University to organize this training course for 108 employees selected for production and maintenance departments for the first phase of the program. The course has helped workers change their traditional thinking about how to approach difficult situations; help them identify 7 types of waste in daily activities, etc. Accordingly, the Kaizen-5S program has been implemented in every department and department with the active participation of all employees. Currently the program has brought positive changes in the behavior of employees in the Company.

Thanks to the investment in applying modern technology, gradually mastering the technology that Masan Resources has been constantly growing and expanding production and business activities. The company has gradually achieved positive results, setting many records in production and business. At 2018, the Company’s net revenue reached 6,865 billion VND, an increase of about 27% compared to 2017. It is estimated that by 2020, the Company may reach a net revenue of up to 8,500 billion VND. The company is currently a supplier of important minerals such as tungsten, fluorspar and bismuth and operates the largest metallurgical ore production and processing plant in the North.
