IATF 16949: 2016 was issued on October 2016. This new standard is for the automotive industry and automotive parts, replacing ISO/TS 16949: 2009. The deadline to convert to the new standard is September 14, 2018.

Requirements of IATF 16949 for companies Like the previous ISO/TS 16949 standard, the IATF 16949: 2016 standard was developed based on the foundation of ISO 9001: 2015. Therefore, the structure of the IATF 16949: 2016 standard is similar to the structure of ISO 9001: 2015.
