Manufacture of modern drilling machines: A new step of TKV

In order to improve working conditions, save manpower, improve productivity and progress of digging coal production, 3 units of TKV include: Nam Mau Coal Company, the Uong Bi Coal Company and Mechanical Joint Stock Company Uong Bi cars have combined the design, manufacture and test run of the ME-01-DE drilling rig. This is the first time 3 units have successfully joined the cooperation in manufacturing a drilling truck. This model is highly appreciated by the Group in promoting the application of new and modern technology in drilling.

In the mid-April days, on the ground of +125, Than Thung area, Nam Mau Coal Company bustled the sound of drilling machines from ME-01-DE drilling operation class. During the past half month, Mr. Vu Trong Canh, Workshop 5 was one of 18 typical miner workers appointed by Nam Mau Coal Company to participate in ME-01-DE drilling operation.

After attending the course, Nam Mau Coal Company organized a practical assessment for students. As a result, 100% of workers participating in ME-01-DE drilling operation have mastered these drilling operations.

Worker Vu Trong Canh shared: Previously, the drilling work in the furnace was done mainly by manual methods. Therefore, at the beginning, accessing to drilling technology ME-01-DE we were very embarrassed and difficult.

However, after half a month of approaching ME-01-DE drilling operation, which was instructed by technicians on each feature and operation, helped us quickly grasp and become familiar with the technology faster.

Through a period of time running the ME-01-DE drilling technology, I have many outstanding features compared to manual drilling. Most typical to drill a 1.8m deep nose in a stone kiln instead of taking 15-20 minutes to complete it manually, now with ME-01-DE drilling technology it takes only 1.8-2 ,5 minutes.

In the near future, when the ME-01-DE drill truck is brought down to the kiln by the Company, it is expected that the excavation progress will be faster. Thereby, improving labor productivity and efficiency at work.

Reportedly, the ME-01-DE drill truck was designed and implemented by Mr. Nguyen Van Yen, Director of Nam Mau Coal Company and engineers of the Uong Bi Coal Company. Mechanical and Electrical Department of Uong Bi Coal Company undertakes the design of mechanical, hydraulic structure and electrical system. The criteria set out are to be compact, easy to use, operate, repair, localize, use common materials and materials from domestic sources or sell them at domestic suppliers.

Based on the design of the Uong Bi Coal Company, Uong Bi Automobile Mechanical Joint Stock Company carries out test manufacturing and has supplemented a number of detailed designs and uniformly adjusted during the assembly process. In the drilling structure of ME-01-DE, Uong Bi Automobile Mechanical Joint Stock Company “localized” a number of mechanical equipment such as chassis, boom, electric cabinet, etc.

Drill ME-01-DE is designed to be compact, weighs 4.2 tons, lighter than many devices of the same function, so it can work well in the mirrors of stone kilns and coal kilns of minimum length 7.6m; maximum drilling depth of 1.8m. Machine control systems such as: Moving, lifting is operated by hydraulic valves, which are very convenient for equipment operators.

Besides, compared to manual drilling technology, the ME-01-DE drilling system can save drilling time of 13-18 minutes / 1.8m deep drill compared to traditional drilling. The accuracy of ME-01-DE drilling technology is much higher than that of manual drilling because the manual drilling process is subject to strong shaking.

From the moment the idea came to the assembly stage of the ME-01-DE drilling rig, it took about 1 month (from early March to early April 2020). On the basis of the available experimental model after completion, the units agreed to put the ME-01-DE drilling rig into trial operation on Nam Mau Coal Company to monitor, evaluate and finalize the design. and deployment equipment for a complete product.

Mr. Vuong The Ha, Deputy Director of Uong Bi Automobile Mechanical Joint Stock Company, emphasized: Successful testing of the ME-01-DE drilling rig not only increases drilling productivity faster, more accurately but also saves personnel. Because only one operator is required instead of two people drilling as old technology.

In addition, when the ME-01-DE drill rig technology is put into production, it will improve working conditions and increase safety levels for workers in the pit. It is expected that by the end of May, after completing the inspection of the explosion prevention operation of the ME-01-DE drilling rig, Nam Mau Coal Company will bring this equipment along the 7-level seam of -50 of the Dao Lo 1 workshop to produce export. Then continue to evaluate the effectiveness before expanding to the whole Group.

The cooperation of the three units has successfully cooperated in manufacturing and testing ME-01-DE drilling rigs, opening a breakthrough development in the application of new technology in drilling and drilling. Thereby helping the coal mining units in the Group accelerate the process of basic pit mining for production.
