The whole jasmine water packaging factory has 134 employees working with very rudimentary equipment, hot environment, difficult to control food safety conditions. Facing this situation, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Company, has determined to embark on researching and innovating packaging technology towards automation.

Realizing that using the imported robot system is very expensive and cumbersome, Mr. Tuan and the technical staff of the Company have researched and designed a model using German engines to manufacture robots. perform automatic packaging, help reduce wastes for the company.

Mr. Tuan shared: At the beginning, the research team faced many difficulties because at that time there was no factory in the world using robots to pack products of the same type as Long Hai. However, with the maximum support from the Board of Directors of the company in terms of time, funding, manpower and best equipment, after 2 years of exploration and testing, the group has completed the automation solution as proposed.

In 2019, the installation of the system in the workshop is completed, the system uses a robot and a large screen is simple and easy to use. Instead of the previous manual method, now products are conveyed by conveyor from the filling mill directly onto the system conveyor. Employees only need to monitor the products on the conveyor to eliminate the defective rows and goods. After being stamped automatically, the product continues to move on the conveyor belt, to the step where the robot has the function of picking up product lines from the conveyor, stacking them into boxes, going through the automatic crating machine and onto the warehouse.

New technology has brought about a remarkable change: Labor productivity has increased from 48 barrels / person / shift to 125 barrels / person / shift; The number of employees in the factory has decreased from 134 to 52; Products have less direct contact with workers, so the level of food safety and hygiene increases, product quality control is also better. This initiative has benefited the company 7.6 billion / year.

With the current potential of the jelly product industry in both the domestic and the region, the solution is very important, in line with the company’s development strategy.
