The Production – Business Optimization program has been implemented, applied in the fields of production, with the objective of methodical and large scale, contributing to increasing the efficiency of production and business, ensuring occupational safety activities, environmental safety and reinforce the foundation for the sustainable development of the business.
The implementation of the Production – Business Optimization program has helped Lam Dong Aluminum Company Limited – TKV (LDA) improve labor productivity, lower production costs and increase product competitiveness in the market. From May 2019, Mr. Vu Minh Thanh – General Director of the Company has directly trained the topic “Optimization” for officials and employees in the Company. “Optimization is the smartest way of hedging business” according to the General Director of the Company. Applying “Optimization” in production, from running tests of the gas generators of the Coal Gasification workshop in different modes, helping the Coal Gasification workshop to provide the most optimal operating mode, stable operation with high load. The amount of carbon in the ash decreased, the gas quality was significantly improved. Coal consumption for the product from 131.7 kg / ton decreased to 127.5 kg / ton (down 3.2%). Alumina ore production line at Bauxite – Lam Dong Aluminum Plant In the kiln system, optimization in the production line, reducing operating labor are also thoroughly applied. The results showed that the kiln operating capacity increased from 1,850 tons of aluminum per day to 1,953 tons of aluminum per day (equivalent to an increase of 5.3%). By changing from Not using steam from Thermal Power Plant to using self-produced steam at Coal Gasification Plant, energy saving is considerable, about 4 tons / hour, equivalent to about 522 tons dust coal / month, equivalent to the Company saved more than 14.4 billion / year on fuel costs. Besides, at Separation – Concentration Workshop, the system of condensing equipment is also constantly being improved. The concentrate station’s water capacity increases by 12 m3 / hour, and the production of aluminum increases by 40,000 tons / year. The consumption of low pressure steam / m3 of water also dropped significantly, about 65,000 tons of steam / year, equivalent to saving about VND 24 billion / year for the Company. At the same time, the workshop does not wash water periodically, the concentration station also contributed to the reduction of 3,600 tons of low pressure steam / year, saving more than 1.3 billion / year. Implementing the “Optimization” program has helped Lam Dong Aluminum Company save many billion Vietnam dongs. Thereby, officials and employees in the Company have deeper access, mastering machinery and equipment in production workshops.
