Khe Cham coal mine is now Khe Cham coal one member Co., Ltd. – TKV. Established on January 1, 1986. Over 30 years of construction and growth, up to now, Khe Cham Coal Company has become a modern underground coal mine with high output, the life of workers, cadres and workers are constantly improving. For this success, the company has always been at the forefront of technological innovation, production expansion. From output a few tens of thousands of tons/year to 2 million tons/year and more thanks to investment in modern technology. In particular, labor productivity increased very quickly. These achievements have been leading the company to the top position in the coal industry in terms of technology and efficiency in the field of underground coal mining.
When newly established, Khe Cham and Khe Cham coal mines applied the technology of exploiting long-distance coal by drilling and blasting, fighting backward wood. The oven kiln output is only 21,000 – 28,000 tons/year; mining productivity is only 1.6-1.8 tons/labor/work. In 1996, Khe Cham Coal was the first unit proposed to apply anti-furnace technology because of iron friction instead of wood. By pioneering this, Khe Cham achieved quite unexpected results. Mining output increased sharply, from 50,000-55,000 tons/year for each long wall oven, double the old technology against old wood, productivity reached 2.2-2.5 tons/work. In particular, Khe Cham has led the entire coal industry to reduce wood use by 80%, a great success in the field of forest and environmental protection.
In 2002 Khe Cham created another breakthrough in technology, which was the application of mechanization of coal mining in the longwall kiln with coal shredder. Instead of coal mining by blasting in combination with manual, dangerous, toxic, and energy consuming, etc. The use of electric coal shredders has replaced the use of the power of people stabbing and chopping mining. Continuously with a modern and large capacity machine, it has pushed the capacity of the longwall furnace to 400 thousand tons of coal/year; productivity exceeds 7.5 tons of coal/work.
From the beginning of January 2016 until now, Khe Cham Coal Company has exploited 237,000 tons of raw coal and is determined to strive in the first quarter of 2016 to exploit over 500,000 tons of coal and dig 3,750 meters of new kilns, reaching 25% of the year plan, profits reach nearly 28 billion; continue to maintain stable jobs and income for more than 3,500 employees, with an average salary of over 11 million/labor/month.
Khe Cham Coal gradually realizes its goal of becoming the most modern underground coal mining company in Vietnam Coal and Minerals Group with the criteria of “Modern mine, safe mine, few mines”, clean mines ”.
