Kem Nghia Joint Stock Company has gained efficiency from the program “Improving production and improving quality” after 2 months of implementation

The “Improving production” program at Kem Nghia Joint Stock Company was funded by the Government under the implementation survey and guidance from two experts from Samsung Electronics Group. The Board of Management of Kem Nghia Joint Stock Company highly values ​​the importance and great values ​​that the program brings. Therefore, right after receiving the dispatch letter, the Executive Board of Kem Nghia company had just sent more than 10 officers and heads of the workshops of Cu Chi factory to participate in the improvement program.

After nearly two months being guided by two experts from Samsung Group, as well as starting to apply serious implementation, on October 17, 2018, Kem Nghia Joint Stock Company held a meeting to summarize the program, also evaluating the program’s results.

The improvement program was started from August 20, 2018 to October 19, 2018 in the Cu Chi factory area of Kem Nghia Joint Stock Company in order to improve the inefficient processes in the operation of the departments, in order to increase productivity, minimize risks and limit processes that are not necessary in the production process. The program is divided into 5 specific processes as follows:

– Actual survey at the company

– Discovering topics that need to be improvement

– Promotion for improvement

– Capture the efficiency of improvement

– Maintain the efficiency of improvement and put it into process.

After surveying the status of the factory, the experts working together with the heads of the pre-workshop workshops optimized 4 items: Production, Quality, Logistics, Capacity building training. The target for these 4 items are:

  1. Production items: 20% reduction of cycle time under milling; 30% off goods on factory lines;
  2. Quality items: Identify critical control points and reduce 5% error rate of Milling stage; Reduce 10% of bugs to work again.
  3. Logistics items: reducing 30% of material inventory; Reduce 95% of the time lost when moving the mold; increase warehouse efficiency by 30%
  4. Basic items: Training PRO-3M; Implementation of 5S3R; Improve field management capacity.

After nearly 2 months of seriously receiving the guidance as well as the first step of implementing all the improvements, with the enthusiasm and determination of the management team, staff and production staff, they have achieved results as below:

  1. Production: 97%
  2. Quality improvement: Achieving 96%
  3. Logistics: 82%
  4. Basic items (training) reached: 96%

According to the management board of Kem Nghia Joint Stock Company: Knowledge, as well as practical sharing from experts on production improvement and quality improvement, are valuable lessons learned by the Management Team, all staff of Kem Nghia company has been approached. These lessons will help Kem Nghia company continue to apply and develop effectively in all aspects of the manufacturing process. Besides, the program “Improving production and improving quality” also provides motivation to strive for the collective of employees and employees of Kem Nghia Joint Stock Company.
