Innovative innovation at Song Cong 2 Garment Branch – Thai Nguyen

Song Cong 2 Garment Branch is known as a member of TNG JSC, with 32 sewing lines, 1700 workers, production capacity per year reaching 2.2 million Jkt products per year, is a cooperative unit of major fashion brands such as GAP, Decathlon, Greenfield.

Every year, the branch always has reward activities for employees, production team with productivity achievements in the process of labor and training, examples with innovations with high application in production. Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, born in 1994, is currently working as an employee of the M-Commerce Department is known for his invention “Heat Chisel Machine”, bringing the actual benefit value to the company of more than 250 million.

Starting working at Song Cong 2 Branches in 2015, with a passion for researching engines and machinery, Mr. Nam has the opportunity to interact and practice with technical equipment. As a result, in the process of making the institute, Nam always focuses on completing the assigned work, while enlisting to explore and study the limitations and difficulties in the production stages related to the application of technology.

Recognizing that in the production process, the daily chiseling by machine still does not work, it takes a long time but the amount of products errors is large. Therefore, Mr. Nam thinks that there should be some method to help limit the number of error rows. Soon after, he embarked on research, explored and applied different methods, in order to reduce the frequency of error rows as low as possible. In just over 1 month, Mr. Nam in the invention of “Heat Chisel Machine”, successfully applied in the actual production process. The heat chisel is fitted with a heat bar, SICAMA 8A steam pressure regulator, AIRTAC pneumatic control valve, in-and-out tingling valve, lifting pitton heat bar, steam connector of all kinds.

Mr. Nam added that before having a heat chisel machine, chiseling the woven wire needs 2 steps (to the mark + hand chisel), not ensuring safety when working due to small textile wires, faulty goods up to 80%. But after applying the heat chisel the number of faulty goods has been reduced to only about 10%, ensuring the quality as required by customers. This method of using heat chisel can be applied to all low-skilled workers, and applies to all codes that need heat chisel. With this invention, the Company has increased productivity, shortened production time, reduced excess manipulation, reduced labor and costs, bringing the profit value of VND 250,693,000. Nam’s initiative is highly appreciated and rewarded by the Company 40 million VND (from the Company’s E-fund and the Company’s Trade Union Fund).

Not only stopping at the heat chisel machine, Mr. Nam is also hatching an invention of “automatic hand fish flipper”, which helps to perform hand fish flipping operation faster and more efficiently. His initiative has been bringing many practical benefits to the company.
