After 3 years working at Freewell Company, Mr. Nam has successfully improved the automatic shoe sewing machine, the principle of operation of automatic sewing machine is from 1 mother machine can copy into many child machines, so this initiative is called Copy. “If previously, 10-20 workers would be able to sew 900 pairs of shoes per day. But after applying copy improvements, productivity doubled. With 10-20 workers as before, but now the number of products per day reaches 2000 – 3000 pairs of shoes per day.” – Mr. Nam shared.

For Mr. Nam, machines are man-made, so that people can completely improve machines to be able to match the current desires, how to create better products. Following the Copy sewing machine initiative in 2015, in 2016, he again launched an initiative to improve the craft sewing machine into pre-programmed mode. Thanks to this technology, the company has reduced the process of making prints molds manually, thereby being able to sew automatically from 70-80% of the details of the product. Also in 2016, noting that the new machine entered only one shoe mold, he wondered, looking for ways for the machine to be able to sew two different shoe molds at the same time, left or right, large or small are also sewing. The “Single Machine in Doubles” initiative thus made a clear difference. If on average a worker within 8 hours can sew 120 pairs, now they can sew 800 pairs of shoes in a day, production capacity is increased to 7 times.

Thanks to this improvement of Mr. Nam, the company has significantly saved the number of workers, thereby helping to reduce production costs for high productivity.
