According to the survey results carried out by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology in cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Economics, about 70% of enterprises in 4 key industries in Ho Chi Minh City have carried out activities on quality and productivity. In particular, those businesses that apply quality management systems achieve sales of 3-7 times more than businesses that do not apply.

Statistics of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Standards and Quality also show that the application of management systems such as ISO 9001: 2015 helps businesses grow in productivity, revenue and profit from 30% to 50 % compared with the last year.

Customers from these enterprises have a returning back rate exceeding 80%. The processes of coordinating activities among departments become more rhythmic thanks to the clear assignment of responsibilities.

Comprehensive change of the production process

From a small business with primitive technology and unskilled labor mainly, thanks to the lean manufacturing management system (LEAN), Tan Quang Minh Manufacturing and Trading Co., Ltd. has annually saved significant production ground, reduced excess movement and increased productivity by 15%.

Like Tan Quang Minh, Thinh Phat Real Estate – Power Cable Joint Stock Company has the starting point of being a small and poor private enterprise. In recent years, Thinh Phat applied quality management system ISO 9001 as well as productivity tools like 5S, Kaizen, TFP, BSC point balance card, SAP-ERP integrated management system… Thanks to that, Thinh Phat’s annual turnover always reaches over 40%, export growth is 50% per year, labor productivity increases by over 15%. According to the statistics of the HCMC Brand, over 38,530 people participated in these training counseling programs; of which 719 businesses have been supported to apply advanced quality management systems and quality improvement tools.
