In order to improve the management of measurement standards when buying and selling electricity, Ha Nam Electricity Company regularly cooperates with functional branches and organizes to verify electricity meters on time.
According to Ha Nam Electricity Company, in the past time, this unit has tested 30,615 1-phase electricity meters and 7,400 3-phase electricity meters. This is the number of meters to maturity which must be verified. Ha Nam Department of Standardization, Metrology and Quality (Department of Science and Technology) verifies 7,050 one-phase electricity meters and 1,140 three-phase electricity meters (equivalent to 15% of the meters to be tested).
In the same inspection, in November, the Mission of the Ministry of Science and Technology inspected measuring instruments of Ha Nam Power Company, in order to strengthen the state management of measurement of electric meter. The results showed that 100% of electricity metering equipment of Ha Nam Electricity Company met the standard of measurement in accordance with regulations.
As a rule, after 5 years of using 1-phase electricity meters, they must re-test and after 2 years, they must re-test 3-phase electricity meters. At Ha Nam Electricity Company, on average, there are more than 30,000 electric meters subject to verification every year and affiliated electricity has been replaced and tested according to regulations. In the long term, the electricity industry is planning to replace mechanical meters with electronic meters, in order to modernize the electricity purchase and sale.
Mr. Do Hai Nam, Director of Ha Nam Electricity Experiment Center, said: Most electricity meters of Ha Nam Power Company are inspected by the units and must follow the steps, such as: checking outside, engineering, measurement, no-load, sensitivity thresholds, basic errors, power registers, maximum power registers, time switches, power registers of price lists and drift tests of real time clock. Through the testing steps, if the meter meets the requirements, the unit will seal the lead and return it to the customer.
The company has also worked closely with Ha Nam Electrical Testing Center and Ha Nam Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality, organizing customer testing of meters regularly. Annually, the unit instructs its affiliated power to focus on reviewing all the electricity meters in the area, plans to replace and test the meters to expire.
