Participating in the TPM Application Program supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Kyodai Production Joint Stock Company has achieved remarkable results.
Kyodai Manufacturing Joint Stock Company operates in the field of manufacturing machines and automatic control (designing, manufacturing precision mechanical and mechanical products, designing, manufacturing and installing electricity, electronics systems, automation products). Kyodai’s factory is located in Thach Khoi industrial zone, Hai Duong with a total area of about 2000 m2 including 2 separate factories, capable of processing and assembling equipment from rudimentary to complex.
In April 2019, Kyodai started implementing TPM activities within the framework of the program and conducted a review of the results achieved in October 2019.
Result:
– 100% of company employees have been trained in theory and practice of activities in the Autonomous Maintenance pillar.
– 5S activities are maintained and promoted in all areas of the factory.
– All employees involved in the detection and handling of abnormalities: 102 suspended TPM cards and 94% of detected problems were handled.
– 74 images before and after were recorded and identified as new standards for working areas from the office to the factory.
– The 1-point lessons are widely shared and hung on internal bulletin boards within the company.
– Standards instructing operators to carry out Cleaning – Inspection – Lubrication – Tightening of built, standardized and re-trained machinery for operators to perform daily.
Typically as a manufacturing company in the mechanical industry, the maintenance and maintenance of machinery in the factory is partly transferred to the operators to perform. Since then, the care of machinery and equipment is guaranteed, significantly reducing the cost of repair and maintenance every year. According to statistics from accounting, repair costs in the first 9 months of 2019 accounted for 6% of total repair costs in 2018.
Maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in the company is included in the system to collect and analyze data periodically. Crashes and downtime periods are recorded, collected and analyzed monthly. Instead of when the machine was broken, people had to call in from outside to repair, now, maintenance and production staff sit down to analyze the cause and find solutions.
With these initial results, this is a great motivation for the company to continue maintaining and developing the Autonomous Maintenance and Plan Maintenance activities for all machinery and equipment.
